Jessica, Darin & Shaun of InsideSimRacing.tv were recently joined by Image Space Incorporated's Gjon Camaj who visited the guys for an interview in an upcoming SRT episode. ISI's head-honcho did not come empty-handed though as Camaj showed off rFactor 2's user interface for the very first time. Below are six screenshots of the interface, showing off what looks like a major improvement over rFactor's much criticised UI-system.Taking a closer look, the screenshots reveal some very interesting details as the task bar gives away the version number used by Camaj for the presentation - 0.783. Also, we´re starting to get an idea on the ...
About a year ago, Team NLC announced a sucessor to their popular VLN 2005 mod for rFactor, planning to bring the 2009 season of Germany's popular racing series to the simulation. For almost twelve months, the team has been quietly working in full force on their massive project and is now able to present us with a very big batch of renders to show off their progress. The renders show twelve different car models sporting various liveries. While some models like the Renault Clio or the Mini Cooper S have been converted, others have been equipped with new parts such as the ...

Virtua_LM has released new previews of another stunning track creation for rFactor, showing us new shots of the Japanese Fuji Speedway in late 80s specification. Located near the famous Mount Fuji in Oyama, Japan, Fuji Speedway was opened in 1963. The track was a popular venue for sports car races as the track was part of the FIA World Sports Car Championship for Group C prototypes from 1982 to 1988. Even though the track was slowed down with two chicanes during the 80s, speeds on the track remained very high thanks to the 1.5 kilometer main straght - The longest in motorsports. [nggallery ...

I’d like to see Com8s new version as a 3rd screen.

I’m not going to knock iRacing as I think it’s a great Sim and really enjoyed my time with it. If I could afford it I’d still be using it!
Other than the circuits physical layout and surface, (which TBH is the most important thing) I don’t think visually it’s any more accurate than some other quality versions, especially Com8s. The bridges colours and trackside objects are not any better than we see in rFactor or GTR Evolution!
But like I said it doesn’t take away anything from the pleasure of driving iRacing and I wish I could still find the money and time to devote to it

I meant the Bridge models and the colouring in general

I saw some shadows out of place but it could just be a difference in time of day. Hehe… Just kidding. Looks good.
Laguna Seca has to be my least favorite track to drive. In any sim. It just never clicked for me.

I’ve always found the surroundings a little bland (even more so in iracing with the lack of colour saturation) but the actual track to be a blast to drive. Nice video btw, iracing version looks just about flawless. Compared to that real-life vid Com8 did a decent job with the rfactor one too though.

Yea, he sure did! But Iracings surface is uncomparible!
Its much better offcoure, but i must thank Com8 4 his stacks and stacks of time and effort he puts in!
