iRacing subscriber Sam Hazim has put together another of his famous reality check photo galleries, this time pairing up real-life photos side by side with footage from iRacing’s recently-released Circuit Park Zandvoort.
Once again, Sam has gone great lengths to demonstrate the accuracy of iRacing’s tracks, making screenshots that match both the exact angle of the photos and most of the on-track activity.
Opened in 1948, Circuit Park Zandvoort has hosted 30 editions of the Dutch Formula One Grand Prix, today’s layout is 4.18 kilometers long and consists of 11 turns. iRacing’s version of the legendary Dutch track comes with five different layouts and sells for $14,95.

Best reality check so far imo. Incredible work. Some shots actually take work to distinguish.
Kudos

Not really, the iRacing shots all have the same “look” to them. Its hard to describe, but the colouring is wrong.

got to agree with this! colors are way off the real thing and the unreal rubber makes the iRacing track look so arcadish. Asphalt color is too pathetic different from the real color! But still enjoy your 15 bucks guys!

Thanks for stopping by Felipe. About all I can say about your comments in iRacing threads are that you are consistent. Consistently trolling.
Fantastic shots by Sam and the level of detail by iRacing is as usual second to none.
Oh, and time of year changes the colors of things like grass. Green in the spring after a rain, brown in the summer. Even the angle of the sun effects the color of grass. The rubber buildup changes as well with the type of cars being run and how recently the track has seen rain etc… Also, time of day, post production, monitor calibration and a number of other factors. It’s amazing how many people are experts on the color of grass when they don’t have a clue about photography or monitor calibration etc.

I visit Zandvoort a few times per year, have driven there once and imo iRacing have done an excellent job. It beats Simbin’s Race version by a mile.

Tell you what, nothing beats a laser scanned track. Makes me wish I had iRacing, if Le Mans is being added in the future, I’d bake cookies and sell for profit

How much stupid can you be? The track is amazing, I driven it in sim and that’s what matters. The colors are acceptable and consistent with iracing looks. The track tarmac is awesome, much better than simbin track….by far. Its like comparing a good wine with water. Dont talk trash and enjoy your pathetic life

Felipe, I can feel your anger, IRacing is not only the best sim, but also got the best graphics, you can’t beat that

feeding trolls is not right, but you are just too funny and blind. so here we go:
@iRacing, in one single comment:
#1: “arcadish”
#2: “pathetic”
#3: “still enjoy your 15 bucks guys”
cheap nerdrage trolling because you seem to be eaten up with envy for those who play this game and pay for their hobby. btw, you suck. ;-)
