Back in June, two time NASCAR Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart and Mclaren’s Lewis Hamilton swapped their cars as part of a Mobil 1 event at Watkins Glen.
While the former British Formula One champion got to try out Stewart’s big and heavy Chevrolet Sprint Cup car, the NASCAR superstar got the chance to sample the Mclaren Mercedes MP4-23.
Even though Stewart has a background in open-wheel racing from an early-career stint with the Indy Racing league, he’s never driven a Formula One car or the long configuration of Watkins Glen before the switch. The following video follows “Smoke” as he prepares for the exciting experiment using iRacing’s online racing simulation.
