iRacing.com – Pocono Previews & Oulton Park Scan Images

iRacing.com has released some preview material of two upcoming tracks, showing us preview shots of Pocono Raceway and first scan images of Oulton Park.

Pocono is expected to be available later this week, the 2.5 mile tri-oval will come with five different road course configurations.

Oulton Park is a 4.3 kilometer track that primarily accommodates British national series such as the BTCC and the British GT, the track will be the third British Circuit to make it into iRacing’s online racing simulation.

    iRacing staff confirmed that Pocono will be released next week.

    Oulton Park is cool, but I hope, hope, hope, hope Suzuka is announced soon.

    They have 3 more japanese tracks that aren’t Okayama in the pipeline. They’ll announce two of them on the day Indycars race at Motegi. Motegi and Suzuka are owned by the same company, so….yeah.

    Also, whenever they mention on the forums the order in which they’re developing tracks, they always state for early 2011 (after Spa) “a japanese track”. They never state “Okayama”, so it has to be a track they haven’t announced the name of yet. So, it’ll either be the most requested on the forums (Suzuka) or the one that will satisfy both Oval and Road people (Motegi).

    So, in 16 days we should know :)

    Finaly an accurate Oulton Park is coming this is my local track and know the place very well so I hope they do a good job on it. I may now invest in iracing just for this hehehe.

    It’ll be a little while, its not a prioritory at the moment. Mainly because they’ve got to get Spa and a Japanese track out first. There might be a couple more ovals too before Oulton gets done. However these scans were posted by a staff member because someone asked when and if it was coming – they basically confirmed it would be, but after a few other tracks.

    LOVE Oulton Park, would be nice if that came out between Spa and Zolder. But Spa will be orgasmic :P
