iRacing.com – More Reality Check Photos

iRacing subscriber Sam Hazim put together a much-discussed reality check gallery two weeks ago, pairing up real-life photos side by side with footage from iRacing’s online racing simulation.

Now, Sam has made up a new batch, showing us impressive comparison shots of Infineon Raceway, Mosport and Barber Motorsports Park. Sam spend lots of time on these comparisons, replicating not just the angle of the photos but also much of the on-track activity to show off how accurate iRacing’s tracks really are.

Amazing! But I need an offline version. I can pay for it, but not for a month, pay for every car and track, I want to pay for a full pack that will be mine.

  • max1492

Very impressive. Getting tempted more and more to check out iRacing

    Hi,DrumStick
It is impossible Offline version , in case of iRacing`s business model.
I think … It is not expensive subscription for true simulator.(not like other GAME)
It is not expensive for experience of Competition.
It is not expensive than initial cost to begin real kart racing.
    iRacing is true Competition.

Some of the Barber shots are amazing with the Spiders. They got the exact height of the spiders correct. The buildings and trackside objects at Barber are spot on too.

  • riches

For sure all object look spot on, they are all scanned.
Still the grass and colour of many object looks washed out.
Every track iRacing looks to be made with the same sepia colours.
That the only comment i have on it.
Otherwise it’s one of the best sims.

They are very impressive even though iRacing is not desperately trying to pull off scenic detail. However all of the tracks are missing those small objects that most modders would crave attention over and it hurts to click on the thumbnails. If we could have something between the two extremes; clean but lifeless iRacing tracks and fictitious ridiculousness in Shift, that would be fine.

  • DeDios

this is great :) i really love it!

  • ForzaBarca88

Hope this Sam dude is getting paid, these shots are as impressive as anything iracing have put out promoting the accuracy of the track layouts. Ofcourse it can’t show the true strength of iracing’s tracks, which is the actual track surface.

  • Raikku

We already knew about this accuracy… at least all iR’ers.

  • Ark

Yep, good ol’ iRacing. Love the accuracy of the sim’s tracks.

I do wish they would darken up the grass a little though. It looks a little washed out.

  • Mikec87

Just amazing. I wish I could get my Lakeside track 80% as good.
