iRacing.com – Linux Version Available
Three weeks after the release of the Mac OS X version, iRacing has now released the Linux version of their online racing simulation.
iRacing’s now the only major racing sim that is available on all three major computing platforms. Linux is most likely not the operating system of choice for serious sim racers though as the support for third party devices is heavily limited.
While drivers for the Logitech G25/G27 seem to be available as beta versions that require some tweaking to fully work, Fanatec and Thrustmaster don’t offer any type of Linux support for their wheels.
iRacing members who aren’t scared away by the problematic hardware support can now grab the Linux version of the software off the iRacing members site.
