iRacing.com – Interlagos Reality Check Video

Pablo Lopez has put together a great reality check comparison video of iRacing’s new Interlagos track.

The Brazilian F1 venue was recently added to the online racing simulation, like all iRacing tracks it has been modeled based on laser-scan data.

Located in suburban Sao Paulo, Interlagos is officially known as Autódromo José Carlos Pace. The 2.677 mile circuits incorporates 15 corners and has hosted the final race of the Formula One World Championship in numerous seasons.

Well here’s another comparison. I figured why not take a look at iR Interlagos versus the next best thing – GSC Interlagos.

    Well done Reiza.

That’s pretty good, the one on the bottom right almost looks like the real thing! :P

I’ve only seen videos & screenshots of it ingame but this is one of the first tracks that actually looks worse then some of the tracks that have been released lately.

Looks great but imo it still doesnt beat Reiza’s version of it. :)

You guys are nuts. I think that is amazing. The best version of Interlagos in a game simulator.

    Why not?

Reiza’s version is imo abit better with the flow and feels more natural and alive with more colour. Still the iRacing version is good offcourse. :)

Got it. I think that iRacing has a better visual and texture in general. But I love GSC, in my opinion, GSC feels much more natural and enjoyable than Simbin games, but not better than iRacing. It’s just my point of view.

Sure. We can all have our own opinion. :)

Yeah, that one on the left is amazing, but the one on the right it’s so damn real! :P

This is shocking! Don’t you two know where you are? The internet. Everyone MUST have the same opinion on the internet. Now go on with the name calling and come to one opinion. :-)

Hmm i dont agree with you about that. :P

I made my annual madness yesterday and bought all the tracks and cars that were missing to complete the full list. Now, back to the track, after some month away from the steering wheel. LOL

  • Silvio

I’m a fan of the Reiza, and I buy anything that they launch, even only to give support. I love the GSC, and the Interlagos track is fantastic, but the iRacing’s is the best, most accurate and visually more realistic. The only exception is the vegetation that remains in too simplistic, and I can’t figure why they are still doing such ugly thing.

  • Silvio

I think that it is just a feeling influenced by the desire to want to defend the small against the big, not an opinion based on technical facts. Please, tell me why, in your humble opinion, the Reiza’s is better than iRacing’s? Is it more precise, or more beautiful or something?

  • Silvio

    You bad :-)

What if you just scroll down to the rest of the conversation? ;)

Well done. I have this feeling, that someday I’ll make the same thing lol. Without any doubt, it’s worth it.

  • Moztheboz

Good thing you will probably never drive the real track then, as you would probably prefer the flow of GSC version better ;)

  • Silvio

    Sure LOL

  • Matt Orr

They are literally as close together as any two tracks from differing companies have been. There is no better “flow” in either because they are the exact same except the surface / modelling / texturing. Watch the video at the top of the comments section I posed.

Well said. Both games have a lot of distinct aspects, textures, colors, maybe grip idk…but about the “flow”, I agree that they are very similar.
