iRacing.com has released the first screenshots of the Corvette C6.R that is due to join the simulation in the coming weeks.
After receiving a batch of needed data from Pratt&Miller a few weeks ago, the iRacing staff is hopeful to include the Corvette in the new build of the simulation that is coming up in early November.
The C6.R made it’s competition debut in 2005, fighting countless battles against the Aston Martin DBR9, the Saleen S7R and other GT1 class machinery ever since. The car is the first American Le Mans Series car to join iRacing, another ALMS car is in the pipeline as the GT2 class Ford GT will be added to the simulation in a few months.

Nice model, track graphics still look sterile.

Looks good, now bring us the Porsche to have nice battles at Laguna Seca
Btw, still waiting for some more european cars and tracks to renew my suscription, I was getting bored…

HA, yeah, Morolla makes nice cell phones, just like Noia and Sasung.

You say that like we don’t have 2 European cars, a European track, and 3 more scanned.

No I don’t, that’s why I said “some more”… I’m looking forsward to Zandvoort, I may give it a try again when released, I love that track. But you have to admit it’s still a little poor content for an european user who don’t like stock cars and open wheelers, imho.
iRacing is doing well, just waiting they release content that I will enjoy enough to pay for it.

I don’t think it’s still a little poor. We’ve been saturated with European content from Simbin and modders. There is countless GT Series and open wheelers for GTR, GTR2, RACE07, and rFactor. I am tired of the same stuff. iRacing has come on the scene and given us the first ever accurate versions of Sebring, Virginia Int Raceway (a very under rated circuit), Lime Rock, Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta and Road America. Location doesn’t matter, how good the circuit is matters, and iRacing has provided us with brilliant versions of tracks that varied from non-existant to poor in other games.
European content is coming. Enjoy what we have now. Unique circuits, uniquie cars, and all at much higher quality than ever seen before.

Not a fanboy…..not even an iracing member anymore (though i may re-up for the c6r)…..I just hate how the same 3-5 people spam every iracing story with the same crap.
Ps, why would you want a GT2 porsche to battle a Gt1 Vette?

Any word on getting a GT2 version of the C6.R? It would be cool to get both.

I agree, iRacing tracks are wonderful, I just miss some euro tracks and cars. I’m tired of Simbin titles too, always the same thing with different names, that’s why I hope iRacing will bring something I enjoy like Simbin stuff but with better quality. No more gmotor games for me lol.
I liked a lot iRacing when I tried it, but it actually don’t have the content for wich I’ll pay a 6 months or one year suscription that’s all I say.
Was just a joke after the battle between Corvette and Porsche this weekend, but yes, I would like to see more GT cars.

As far as we know they have not been working on the GT2 version at all. iRacing will have a GT2 Ford in a few months, and I think they said that they won’t do multiple cars for any class at this point.

Hopefully they get the sounds right, theres a few cars in iracing that have pretty underwhelming sounds imo. Model looks great as expected and I’m sure physics will be the same.

When are you kids going to understand that iRacing is less about content and more about RACING?

They do work, according to a member of the staff.

Nice… Now a guy who can’t even respect the opinions of others will teach me that racing sims are about racing.
Has you come to that conclusion yourself? I’m really impressed
