iRacing.com – First Cadillac CTS-V Video

iRacing was on site at the Indycar Grand Prix of St. Petersburg this weekend and part of their presence was a drivable demo of the Cadillac CTS-V, the newest car to make it into the online racing simulation.

Luckily, Leping008 was around to capture the footage you can see below, showing the car on a lap at Road Atlanta, the final product will be free for all iRacing subscribers.

The CTS-V is the racing version of Cadillac’s popular CTS model, it’s powered by a 520hp V8 engine and driven by veteran road racers Andy Pilgrim and Johnny O’Connell.

The car competes in the SCCA Pirelli World Challenge, a North America-based series for GTs & touring cars that races in support of both the Indycar Series and the American Le Mans Series.

    I really like this addition to Iracing.  
    Rumor has it the car will be complimentary to those paying for iracing monthly service. Some like to call it free but, free is only when you don’t have to pay something to get it in the first place lol.

    I love race cars that have same body style that you can walk in to a dealership on monday and buy one. This caddy is a very very nice car in real life, handles amazing, and has a great ride and major power. Perfect car for old snow birds that want to get to florida in record time every fall .   :)

    Not a rumor, it was confirmed to be base content.

    The rumors are exactly what series it will be. Seems it will be its own Caddy-branded series for a year, then worked into some kind of World Challenge series :)

    No kidding, I’m fully aware. Shame the trolls are allowed to flourish, I thought that was the point of an improved commenting system. Sometimes feels like unless you curse or accuse Montoya of conflict of interest, not even so much as a warning.

    Im chuffed! the only problem is having to wait, but hey we got the caddy and the mclaren coming out too, looking forward to them all! They said they are working on BMW as well which is awesome! now just for a laser scanning trip round Europe’s premier racing venues!
