iRacing has released a first render of the Ruf RT 12R that is due to join their online racing simulation soon.

Based on the Porsche 911 Turbo, the Ruf RT12R is powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo engine, putting out 730hp of power and nearly 700 lb/ft of torque.

Founded by Alois Ruf in 1938, RUF is a German car manufacturer. The company is best known for building cars that are based on Porsche models, since RUF is building their own branded cars and is registered as manufacturer instead of being a mere tuner, game companies can license their cars separately from Porsche.

That’s some sexy paint texture in the reflections. That would be fantastic to have in sim…

  • Marcin Seidl

That is the easiest way to overcome Porsche AG license…and I like that!

BTW Amercans have another Porsche brother, Singer 911

    What a machine!

    • Brooke Derry

Oh my GOD that would kick ass! A Singer 911 in iRacing!

  • Alan Dallas

Little slow with this eh iRacing? We have RUF in pCARS already. Aaaand didn’t have to pay for it. heheheh.. sucker born every minute.

    • Wim

      Witch was your minute?

    • Benjamin Dolard

Yeah, with crap physics. You must be so happy with it.
The making of the cars is not a race. And, seeing how little time it takes SMS to make a car… Well, physics quality is not their main concern. pCARS has great graphics, but please don’t even try to compare it to iRacing, you’re embarassing yourself.

      • Lafcam

you are so right!! its auto embarasment

I didn’t know they had released the RT 12R in pCARS already, can’t find any previews of it.

        We have 2 more coming

I’m aware, I think it’s just a bit odd that Alan would bash iRacing for being slow with the RT 12R when pCARS hasn’t released their yet either.

      • Anonymous

I guess he felt he deserved that one due to all the pCARS bashing that goes on from iRacers.

      • Anonymous

Doesn’t make the initial comment any better. All bashing is stupid.

  • Marcos Sanz

    730hp… LOOOOOL

Always IMO Hats off to any Car Manufacturer that works with the Sim Race Industry to allow licensing of their product without making it exclusive to one developer. I could care less for a Porsche License. Ferrari is almost as bad but at least they have dealings with Kunos.

      I agree. And nice render.
