Introducing Wheel Stand Pro

Most sim racers will be attaching their wheel to a desk, table or sim racing cockpit. Those of you racing while sitting on the couch or a chair might be looking for a good solution to attach the wheel and its pedals.

That’s exactly what Wheel Stand Pro does, providing a safe and stable base for your wheel. Made of lightweight steel, Wheel Stand Pro only weighs 9 pounds and can be bend when you don’t use it – No mounting or dismounting needed!

It comes in three different versions, suitable for Logitech wheels including the G25 and the Microsoft XBOX 360 wheel. Sounds interesting? Then head over to the Wheel Stand Pro website and check it out.

Build quality looks OK, but I question how sturdy she is @ 9 lbs. -particularly when using a G25 and its fairly strong force feedback. I’ve wrestled the G25 off my desk a few times during some intense moments, -even with the weight of the pedals @ its base I wonder how much this setup would get thrown around.
The $200. price point (G25 model,USD) is attractive for those that don’t have the space for a larger setup, but I’m holding out for a V-Roadster ( http://www.virtualroadster.com/ ) :)

Oh and I just found a review the other day:

I might as well get one of these, pretty much the only solution for me as I don’t really want to move around tables or buy a playseat that I won’t be able to move in and out of my living room… besides that the price point is pretty much as cheap as it can get, haven’t seen anything cheaper and so space-saving except for the RinoSeat (http://www.rinoseats.com/) which is as well something I have put my eye on, but I guess It’ll be the wheelstandpro for me as I don’t really mind playing it on my couch or my comfy office chair.

No side bracing is tricky, good for stock car racing where wheel movement is kept to a minimum. I dont think it can take RBR for a lengthy bash…
