Insane Drifts Around The Nordschleife With Mixed Reality

Marcel Pfister is back to iRacing for a spectacular new edition of his “Mixed Reality” video series.

In the new video, Marcel shows off a rather unusual combination you wouldn’t see in real life all that often, taking the Ford Focus Rallycross car onto Germany’s legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife for plenty of sideways action.

As usual, Marcel keeps on striving to improve his production values, adding in external views of his most spectacular scenes as well.

What is Mixed Reality?

It´s a way to record and show game play to serve a better understanding of how it feels to use Virtual Reality. It uses a green screen to later blend out the room you are playing in and instead blending in the virtual environment life or in video editing. So it´s only a way to show to the viewers, while playing i can´t see my wheel and real hands. So it´s not like Augmented Reality, which will maybe come in a few years and will look similar.

So, VirtualR remained alive for less than a month. Frankly, you need to post news at least a couple of times a week if you are expecting people to come back here.

I always figured that was part of the experience, this site has always had weeks long droughts.
