HistorX for rFactor 2 – First Mercedes Benz Preview

ISI’s announcement of including the Mercedes Benz 300 SLR earlier today has sparked a very interesting reaction from the community as Team HistorX has shown off a first preview of the rFactor 2 version of their popular Historic GT & Touring car mod for rFactor.

The preview shows the Mercedes Benz 300 SLR in-game at Spa Francorchamps, the German sports car is one of the many great cars included in their HistorX 2.0 mod.

Even though ISI hasn’t mentioned a release date for their car at all, Team HistorX seems to be confident to release their version first, indicating that the rFactor 2 version of their mod seems to be quite far progressed.

That was fast.. we just post that pic! :-D

To be fair we didn’t say we’re going to release it first but that we’ve put the car in game first. Check Tim’s comment on that pic at our Facebook page and you’ll know a bit more about their plans for that SLR :)

One of the greatest mods in the History of rFactor 1, but in an rFactor 2 version. GREAT!!! As if the physics werent already amazing enough on the RF1 version. I almost cream my pants thinking of what this mod is capable of on the potential of the current RFactor 2 v107 engine, let alone the actual gold release version of it.

I was thinking the same thing. Given the discussion sparked by Erale’s recent article, it would be quite trascendental for the modding community how does HistorX stack up to ISI.
