    That’s awesome! Wan’t expecting that…is this a late christmas gift?! :D

    • Rantam

You may consider it that, yes… or an early Easter gift ;)

      • HolgerH

        hi Rantam
please, bring us your 934 Porsche for the rF1 Mod.
So many new cars , so many updates, but the loveley 934 is missing.

        cheers

      • Rantam

Well… there’re hundreds of cars that would be a good addition to this mod. Have you thought about creating that 934 by yourself as an add-on for this mod? :)

        Regards

      • HolgerH

        lol Rantam
Why should i create a Car, cause your 934 is finished^^
Just bring these Beatiues to to Ground Mate.We wait for it since 2 Years after your post two Screens of it^^

        cheers

      • Rantam

Well.. if you don’t see it in the mod may be something happened with it. Don’t you think? I’m sure you’re smart enough to get that on your own ;)

  • StarFoxySxv550

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

    THANK
    YOU

  • Austin Ogonoski

Please tell me this, or at least a portion of it, will find its way to AC.

The Trans-Am cars alone are perfect to offset the euro-centric car roster.

    • Jordan Meagher

No sorry rF 1/2 content can not be ported …. the advance physics of the cars will make the kunos engine freeze and non responsive and may even blow the computer up !

  • Anonymous

I love the historic cars and have hopes some day we will see more pre 60’s cars like the one in my Avatar which is a Cunningham

  • Kendra Jacobs

    THANKKKKKKKSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are such awesome ppl. Your passion and dedication is an inspiration to us all. My best wishes to you and your entire team of modders for the future.

    Now get on rf2! Lol

  • damys

    i remember a preview of HGT&T on RF2… but maybe i’m wrong: S

  • Jordan Meagher

Any word that this is going to ported to rf2?

  • Olivier Prenten

That’s what is called a mod! Impressive! Good work guys!

  • Anonymous

That Pink 23 is being auctioned this year and expects to fetch a million or better

  • tito puente

    .rfm is missing?

    • Justin Schmidt

edit: never mind. worked this time somehow.

      • tito puente

Now works me fine. Using gtl installation (or mounting a mini image) .rfm magically appears. must be hidden in the installer.

    • Rantam

      That happens if:

      1. The installation went wrong. Be sure you read the mod’s manual about how to do it properly.

      2. You’re trying to install the mod without using the official installer.

  • Jack_NL

Yeah a total surprise, thank you guy’s very much!
the car’s are looking great, going to try the muscle cars first

Looking forward to race y’all online

  • Traumahound

I’m getting a .mas error for all cars. I created a fresh rf Lite build just for this mod, btw. I DO have v1.95 installed just fine as well.

    Any ideas?

Edit: solved. By deleting my profile from the User folder, and creating a new one, as per an HistorX forum idea. Kind of weird, though.

So, what are they claiming to not have ripped from GTL? I don’t see anything so far that isn’t. Because of that there is no incentive for me to bother with this mod as GTL is much better.

    • Justin Schmidt

nobody claims anything. simbin allowed them to use their models. hell one of their employees(6e66o) even races the mod and uploads videos of it on youtube.

      • http://s1.zetaboards.com/SimSkinsByDen/index/ PetrolheadDen

I do wonder though if the GTL mods they’ve ripped have given permission to do so. Myself I got turned off HistorX on the first try with their self righteous bad attitude, them making grand announcements not to copy “their” work when all they did was convert GTL to rfactor with much worse feel. I once spent a week trying to get their Mini Cooper to feel right and gave up, went back to GTL and saw the error of my ways. That though isn’t HistorX’s fault but really the crap feel of rFactor itself.

      • Rantam

This post is indeed fun. Bad attitude you say? :)

We did use GTL models, yes. But we also created a lot of new cars. Sorry you’re not enjoying them or even taking two seconds to really know what this mod includes ;)

  • Sigmatc

Thank you very much for this awesome mod :)

some cars (Ford Capri, Porsche RSR 3.0, ….) are oversteering at first go comparing to previous versions, but when you get used to them, it’s a pure joy to drive. like it is said in the change log, a complete overhaul of the physics. Nice work. I like them like this

  • IAg Gai

Anyone have a better link than the one provided?

  • Jorge Okamoto

I’m having NSIS Error when I try to install this mod. I have a fresh rFactor install and also Steam online (GTL installed). Any ideas? The OS is Windows 8. Thanking you in advance.

    • Jorge Okamoto

FIXED: Opened a command prompt as admin and run the .exe /NCRC :)

      • Jorge Okamoto

NOT FIXED: At the final stage the installation just stop working… cannot go further… :(

      • http://www.facebook.com/HistorXTeam YoShImUrA_HistorX

Please check that you have enough free space (a bit more than 10 Gb if memory serves).

      • Jorge Okamoto

I have 1TB HDD and 4GB RAM. I increased Virtual Memory to 15GB but still the installation fails. Also, I cannot run directly (double clicking) the file. I have to run in command prompt with /NCRC to have the installation wizard opening.

      • Rantam

What Yoshimura says is that you’ll need at least 10-11GB of free space in the partition where your temp folder is (usually is the OS partition). Otherwise installation problems are guaranteed :)

Anyway, do this: execute the first part of the installer using that command. Then when the first part finishes it will start up the second part automatically. Cancel it and run that second installer directly from the prompt also, using that flag, just to avoid being a privileges problem.

Please go to our support forums at http://www.historx.net in the case of further problems.

        Regards

      • Jorge Okamoto

Thank Rantam. I have followed your suggestion without any success. I cannot event login to support forum since Yuku is not saving my password correctly. I will give some time with this great mod for a while due to other priorities. Hopefully someday I can install this mod properly. Cheers ;)

      • Rantam

I’m afraid to read that. It looks as a Windows 8 privilege problem which doesn’t appear in 7 or previous versions.

Sorry, I don’t have that OS, but have you tried disabling UAC just to install this mod? what about setting Windows XP compatibility properties to the installer?

Anyone around has been able to install it in Win8? I’m going to check at our Facebook fan page.

        regards

      • Rantam

Just remembered someone posted instructions about how to install v1.95 in Win8. Please follow the same steps for v1.96 and let us know if you’re able to install it:

        http://www.historx.net/topic/3095/Win-8-Install-instructions-Historic-GT-rFactor-mod-worked

        Regards

      • Jorge Okamoto

Rantam, if I follow the instructions mentioned in the forum, I got “Error decompressing data! Corrupted installer?”. I am thinking that there is a problem with Nullsoft installer. Let’s discuss this issue at Support Forum.

      • Rantam

        All righty! :)

  • Diogo Quaresma

Thanks to HistorX team for this amazing mod. I’m a big a fan of historic racing and this mod get’s better and better. Thanks guys for your dedication.

    • Petros Dialektakis

Same here…. The attention to the car models and physics ist phenomenal. I cannot wait to try this rF1-mod on my computer. Thanks to the HistorX Team for their work.

      • http://www.facebook.com/HistorXTeam YoShImUrA_HistorX

Thank you guys for your support and hopefully you enjoy them for a while on the servers and in league racing =)

  • Traumahound

Either I’m getting a little better at dealing with the physics as used by HistorX, or (and I suspect this is more the case) they’ve made the cars more readable, more communicative. I suspect realfeel is being more effective too. I’m achieving much more controlled oversteer through turns than I used to, and I can attack with more confidence. I still have to be careful with these 50 year old racers, but I respect and enjoy this mod more than ever before. : )

    • http://www.facebook.com/HistorXTeam YoShImUrA_HistorX

I’m glad they are growing on you, but if you read on the changelog, you will see that it’s mostly the TransAm cars that have been updated. Not even the Realfeel or anything else has been changed as far as I can remember from the top of my head.

Again, great stuff you like them. See you on the public servers =)

  • Roger Wallentin

This is one of, if not THE, best mod for any sim to date!

The mix of extreme quantity (100 unique cars!?) and quality (visuals, physics and sounds) is rare to say the least!

The engine sounds on most cars are really top notch as well!

Fantastic fun to enjoy on winding rally stages or classic road courses!

I will enjoy this for many hours still on rF1. Really wish for a re-make for AC in the future! :)

    • http://www.facebook.com/HistorXTeam YoShImUrA_HistorX

Thanks for your kind words, Roger. We hope you and everyone that appreciates the effort put into it will enjoy this mod for a long time. =)

      • o0THX11380o

It’s a truly amazing mod… and it’s something that has been obviously created out of love… and it’s free, which is almost unheard of in our society. Thank you so much for this.

  • Marc Collins

Where is this mod being discussed online? The official forum is dead…?
Cortina still has engine sound glitch from a couple of updates ago and the Alpine (wide) has FFB that seems reversed. Wanted to report these bugs, but where?

    • Rantam

The offical forum is up http://www.historx.net

There is also our Facebook fan page at http://www.facebook.com/HistorXTeam, but to report I’d say the forum is the place to go.

      Regards

      • Marc Collins

Thanks for the official reply. “Dead” was a poor choice of words. I did go over there, but expected tons of activity–which there is not. Didn’t want to register if that wasn’t the best place to participate.
I’m going to consider the two bugs above “officially reported” and will hopefully not find any others that require me to register :)
HistoriX has always been my favourite mod by far and I sure hope you are working on an rF2 version, though please don’t wait until it’s completely converted to release pieces or we may all be retired by then ;)

      • Marc Collins

Ignore the Alpine FFB issue. There was a stray (and strange numbers) Alpine widebody entry at the end of my Realfeel file? Have no idea ho it got there, but once removed, everything is great. Cortina sound file is a long-standing issue, though.

  • Kev

I’m still on 1.95 so not sure if still the case on 1.96, but can anyone explain why the ffb is so much better on the 67 911s than any of the other cars? And that is not to criticize the other cars because the ffb is fine on them. But the 67 911s just seem to be in another category.
