Niels Heusinkveld has released a new video of his HE Sim Pedals, showingRemco ‘P34 cockpit builder’ Hitman trying out the pedals.

Remco is only one of six customers that Niels has sold his pedal kit to.

  • Adjustable travel by independently adjustable ‘up’ and ‘down’ stops
  • Adjustable damping on all pedals
  • Greatly adjustable pedal feel and required effort
  • Adjustable pedal face ‘upright’ angle -3, 0 and 3 degrees

My thing is, And I would like to know an answer from Niels…

Why only six sets of these things available Niels?

    IMO – You should either:

    A) Sell the design to Logitech / Fanatec / Thrustmaster for a price with a % of sales cut or,
    B) Have a go yourself @ manufacturing larger scale and sell more than 6 sets as the stories keep indicating that’s all their is… :(

Put it to you this way, If I had the money to invest, I would be buying the rights from you for this design and i would have done it yesterday.

Niels please advise and clear up the “QTY 6 only reports”…

What I don’t get why Niels even offered just throttle+brake variation. Did some out of those 6 fortunate (and a bit crazy lol) customers seriously spend 800 euros for TWO pedals without a clutch?

Other than that I’m sure it must be heaven to drive with them, another great thing from Niels, after software now even hardware.

The 2 pedal sets would probably go to say someone at iRacing to build a “cheater rig” as many of the rigs in their rig section reflect the “gamer” mentality as far as controls. People that use 2 pedal set ups and flappy paddles/sequential shifting for all cars. Having said that, I myself am down to a DFGT at the moment. OOPS! lol.Though definitely not by choice!!

I find it highly entertaining how you can bring iRacing into everything just to bitch.

Because the big companies don’t need Niels to design their pedals. Their “high end” isn’t the same as what he is aiming for. As well as why set yourself up for failure? If all goes well and he makes some dough off of it, don’t ya think he’d make more? Software gets beta tested, this is somewhat like a beta.

If he was looking to partner with someone, Todd Cannon (CST) would be the guy to hunt down, not the big mass produced product guys.

Truth is I very seldom mention iRacing or post about it. And it’s not a Bitch so much as an observation. I’ve noticed a lot of rigs there with VERY high end components yet built for the gaming/win at any cost mentality rather than the “sim” side of it. It wasn’t meant to be snarky. I was just thinking that that would be the main market for a 2 pedal setup. That and F1 guys.

Not to worry my friend. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised in the next few weeks. Niels isn’t the only one building pedals =P

Now that they are all sold and shipped, I’m thinking of the next step. It is very likely there will be more pedals for sale later this year, but that’s about all I dare to say at this stage.

These pedals are only sensible to very few hardcore / rich simracers, large scale wouldn’t make a lot of sense, but 6 was the other extreme.

    Very nice work Niels!!

Correction: I didn’t buy a set. Having said that, I certainly would have if I hadn’t built my P34.
