Just like the GT Legends lobby servers for online racing, the GTR2 lobby servers are now unavailable due to the bankruptcy of 10tacle Studios a year ago.
Simbin is currently working hard to fix the problem that was caused by the server domains expiring due to the owner company’s bankruptcy. The folks at Simbin are determined to keep the online community of both titles alive, both a temporary and permanent fix are currently in the works.
There’s no info given on when the servers will be back, the temporary fix should be available quite soon so sit tight – The servers will eventually be back!
Until Simbin can get control of the domains and fix the problem, GT Legends users can use the workaround provided by Racedepartment.com.

Seriously you would think that when the GTL servers went down due to an expering domain name they would have checked the GTR 2 domain on the fly to prevent this from happening.
