GTR Evolution – Steam Release Launched

Simbin’s GTR Evolution has been released as planned on Steam today. So if you don’t own GTR Evolution yet or don’t want to wait for the release of the boxed version, head over to Steam and get yourself a copy.

If you´re after the upgrade version for RACE07, Steam will be your best bid as it won’t be released in stores in many countries.

Those of you waiting for painting templates will be disappointed, the Steam version only contains templates for the RACE07 cars like the boxed version. There is still no word from Simbin about when the templates will be released, one can wonder if this delay has anything to do with the fact that many companies paid good money to have their logos on the cars though.

Downloaded tis last night – much more fun than RACE07; the cars are far more skittish.

You try driving an Aston DBR9 around Maccau in the wet :)

Bought it yesterday and had lots of fun driving the schleife in a Viper. Best lap was 6.51.xxx
My question is: is it possible to combine some of the new classes to have a larger grid like FIA GT with GT1/GT2 ?

    @tbc21

Yes, use the car filter to create a new class. You can combine ANY of the cars into a new class to race against.

Damn, and we don’t even have boxed version here in Finland yet…

Hopefully it come on Thursday as they have said here.

I have nothing against Steam. By far the easiest way to purchase games, and also to keep them updated.

Geeeeeze… I can’t buy the upgrade using Steam. It says it is not for sale in my country (Denmark). We are not THAT small a country (oh, yes we are, but don’t tell our prime minister who think he is best-pals with George Bush……)

Hm… And why would anyone make such a restriction??? I am disappointed. I’m not spending double up on a boxed version… And I don’t have time to go look for an upgrade in all of the shops in tiny Denmark …

    Geeeze…

Drives better than RACE07, maybe its just the cars tho.
I am still having an issue with the Steering help kicking in when Ive set it to 0. I hold the wheel at a constant angle and can see the wheel turning more as I decelerate. Now going to try NAGT for rF, see how the physics compare.

No one else will, and for a good reason. Its too limited, no support and not everyone believes its the best racing sim.
Why cant you just play it and enjoy it instead of preaching to everyone every day like some evangelist ?
    Change the record ffs.
