GTR Evolution - Porsche & Ferrari Released

SCCA1981 has released the highly anticipated Porsche and Ferrari addon for GTR Evolution, bringing the Porsche 997 GT3 and Ferrari F430 to Simbin’s newest GT simulation.

Originally made by Ibne for COLVIN35’s ALMS 2007 mod for GTR2, both cars are a valuable addition to the GT Sport class, using balanced physics for close racing against the other class entries.

The mod includes 12 Porsche and 6 Ferrari skins from the 2007 and 2008 American Le Mans Series seasons, also included is a skinning guide and templates to paint your personal examples.

Attention: SCCA1981 has released a new version of the mod, fixing crashing issues due to misconfigured backfires and low-detail shadows. If you have version 1.0 or 1.1 installed, please make sure to get the new version below.

Is this another mod with fictional physics? Hopefully someone will change the “balanced” physics of EVO and make them realistic. TrueSpec perhaps?

Did we ever get a resolution as to the legality of this mod, in regards to simbin’s “please don’t cross-port our stuff”-statement?

To answer your question though, forward conversions (GTR2/GTL -> Evo) are permitted by Simbin, backward conversions (Evo -> GTR2) just with proper CD check in place.

This mod does not contain any Simbin Models.

These cars are third party, from the GTR2’s ALMS2007 mod. Therefore it has nothing to do with Simbins very fair requirements and scca1981 has permissions from its original author Ibne.

So no need to worry about this one

Com8 Nordschleife 2009 - 24h Layout Preview

FSONE 2009 - New Toyota TF109 Renders

After showing us plenty of model renders, International Pro-Modding has now released a first batch of renders that show a fully painted car of their FSONE 2009 Formula One mod. We get to check out the fully dressed-up Toyota TF109, driven by Timo Glock & Jarno Trulli. Virtua_LM has released a bunch of new GTX5 for rFactor previews, showing us various Lancia Beta Montecarlos at Mid Ohio. We get to check out the Italian race cars at day & night, from the inside and the outside. GTX5 will include the high-powered and extreme racing cars of the Group 5 era which were powered by insanely powerful turbo engines and featured very extensive body modifications.
