GTR Evolution – Offline Patch 1.2.0.1 Released

Following the Steam release of Patch 1.2.0.1 in February, Simbin has now released the offline version of the latest GTR Evolution patch.

The most important changes include a fixed draw distance to prevent popping up of track scenery, the ability to run several championships at the same time as well as a moved user-data folder.

Because of that, you will have to copy your custom skins over to the folder’s new location in “My Documents”, otherwise you won’t be seeing any custom skins.

Changes

-Added possibility to run several championships at the same time
-Moved user data folder to My Documents for Vista and non administrator support
-Updated mounting of expansion packs. Now one or more expansions can be uninstalled independently of each other
-New button layout for track category and model select
-New scroll boxes for car setup filters
-New layout of credits page
-Maximum FOV is now 150 instead of 120
-Changed upper limit of opponent skill to 110%
-New infoscreen in main menu
-AI uses headlights in rainy weather
-Updated draw distance for most tracks

Bugfixes

-Fixed heavy CPU usage in offline mode (reported for Windows XP x64 computers)’
-Fixed “black texture bug”, seen on track reloads
-Various championship fixes
-Various spectator mode fixes
-Fixed bug with locking force feedback when exiting to garage
-Fixed opponent generator to not select duplicate cars
-Fixed non restarting SEAT Toledo engine
-Fixed vertical seat postion not being saved correctly
-Fixed fuel tank capacity for STCC Alfa Romeo 156 and BMW320si 6 speed sequential

Unless they’ve changed something in the offline one from the online version, there is still some fairly terrible popup at the Nordschleife, most noticeable with the curbing as you head down to the bridge before Adenauer.

    Excuse me, but…

This is for offline version, right?

So how could it be possible to have “fixed spectator shown up as server in chat”, or “multiplayer stability fixes” ?

Can you actually play on LAN with the offline version?

Nope, since there was no official changelog to go with the offline patch, I just used the online version’s log.

Should have deleted those multiplayer-specific lines

If my google skills are good, this patch should add the same bug fixes and features that have been added since 1.0.0.9 version.
