It allows them to run a vWTCC style event for GTR-Evo. As the main ‘thing’ for joining up to vWTCC was that you could do the intial stuff by using the free demo version.

scca1981 – Not really mate…They could have it for publicity reasons, so folks who wanna buy GTR but are not sure could try the demo. the guys at EA Games who develop need for speed, are also releasing the demo after the main game is out… Kinda becoming a common practice among some developers for one reason or the other.

uhh…. right. Because everyone releases demos almost 3 months AFTER the games release.
