The new GTR Evolution homepage holds a lot of info and answers most of the questions left. Below are some new screenshots, all other preview material there is already known to VirtualR readers.
If you click “Read More”, you can find the full car and track list. Tracks include no surprises, we get what was in RACE07 as well as the Nürburgring GP & Nordschleife plus a combined endurance version.
The GT cars offer a mix of known GTR2 cars and plenty of new machinery, these category shows that Simbin is somewhat drifting into the fantasy direction though. The three GT classes include some cars that yet have to make an impact on GT racing (Audi R8 GT Concept, Apollo GT) and most of them sport fantasy liveries.
To wrap things up, four production class vehicles are waiting to be tested on the most challenging track of them all, the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

I was really hoping for the F430 GT2 and 997 RSR, but nevermind. Still a decent amount of cars for 15 quid.

If will be easy to add cars, I wait for a real vln mod, now we have most, of the most important cars, racing in the 24h.

im really dissapointed in the car list, you might aswell just buy GTR2, instead of wasting money for a couple of cars that arent in GTR2.

I think they lost the Ferrari license hence no F550 or MC12 (Ferrari Project has that), but surprised about Lambo and Porsche. Also why is the Vertigo pictured not updated to ‘08 looks?
we really needed Simbin-level quality on the 997 and 430…

The SunRed SR21 is a spain-built car that competes in the International GT Open Series.
Since it’s not based on a road car (at least none that I would know of), it’s more or less a prototype and not allowed to start in bigger GT series based on FIA rules.
Interestingly, the car is powered by a Judd V10 engine, normally used in Le Mans Prototypes.

Some of the cars look like toy cars… For example the Audi R8…
Still, it looks quite intresting!

We’ve got some new cars that shouldn’t be sniffed at, like the BMWZ4M and the Marcos etc. As we have the 430 and 997 soon in GTR2 and rFactor then we also more new models that can be ported over.
Anyway its looking good enough for me especially for just £15 quid

I’m quite surprised that Porsche and Ferrari don’t feature, surely these manufactures are a huge selling point to any game. I honestly think more people would buy the game if these cars were in it therefore increasing simbin’s profits.
Looks good though.

Well, i was @ Estoril Track last weekend, and i have to say this, that any media as reported so far… There was massive abandon of the circuit (me included) just before de second WTCC race at 5:20 PM. I think that says a lot from the overall interest on watching Leons and Lacettis Racing… LOL, even the Seat Supercopa had more public and flamboyance than WTCC. On the other hand, most ppl (me included) were there just to see the Ferrari and Porsche GT’s, and believe me, it was worth the sunburns!! Can’t really understand why WTCC is the 2nd child from FIA along with the WRC… it’s a DULL championship, with DULL cars.
Now about GTR Evo… it’s just a WTCC MOD, period. You don’t suppose they would ruin the FIA GT license with “fictional” content, do you? Oh well, have to wait and see.
cheers
