After Atari’s visit at PC Games, their rival magazine Gamestar now had the chance to try GTR Evolution. And once again, Christina Surer is on site, again proving her questionable driving abilities.
The positive side is that we get some more Nürbugring Nordschleife impressions while Surer and the magazine writer have obvious problems keeping their cars under control. Click the image below to get to the video.

Compared to “our” Nordschleife, in my opinion every straight looks way to long. Does anyone agree ?
Details are poor and the cars seem to have an extrem amount of donwforce.

and the multiplayer continue been crappy as other simbin games only 2 players and little stutters in some parts of the video and bad vehicle moves :S

@ tbc21: i guess we’re wrong then. because SimBin got exclusive rigts to data from the track.

In terms of straight length – appearance varies with field of view. You can be certain that Simbin have got the length of the track right. In terms of downforce you don’t know what mode the game is run in – its not likely to be fully realistic physics with novice drivers.

Amusing, from 2 minutes worth of video (maybe like 40 seconds of which were fully focused on the game) you guys have been able to deduce that the track is completely wrong, the physics is off, and that the multiplayer is shitty. Well done.

Let’s not draw ridiculous conclusions from a short video like this. For example the fact that there’s two people racing in this video says absolutely nothing about the game’s multiplayer system. Granted, Simbin multiplayer solutions haven’t been as good as rFactor’s, and since GTR Evo is going to be very similar to Race 07, I doubt we’ll see any improvements in this respect (or any other for that matter).

..mmmh…track is rly different if compared with rF 2.2a version..
i’m agree with tbc “Compared to “our” Nordschleife, in my opinion every straight looks way to long.”..
But, if Simbin have used real CAD data..well, probably this version it’s closer to real version…. ..i’d like to see same video with different FOV..

No, they didn’t get “exclusive rights to the data”. They got the data. People have had that data before.
