Grand Slam 1.01 – Released

Posted on March 8th, 2010 in

Team Players have released a small patch for their recently-released Grand Slam Rolex Sports Car Series mod for rFactor, fixing a much-discussed issue with the car’s brakes.

Changelog:

1. Fixes the brake issues that have been reported.
2. Adds a new “Sprint” brake option for shorter tracks

The mod includes four different Daytona Prototype models made by Riley, Crawford, Fabcar and Doran. The cars are powered by various V8 engines from manufacturers such as BMW, Porsche & Lexus. All paint schemes from the 2006 season are included, matching templates to paint your own car are also provided.

Originally started by D3 as a planned commercial game, Team Players have took up the task to finish what D3 started and iDT continued to develop. The whole project was initially announced at the 2006 Rolex 24 Hour race at Daytona and came to a conclusion with the final release of the mod four years later.

Important: This is just a patch, make sure to have the initial version of the mod installed before using it.

just took a couple laps around eastern creek and daytona and the tires seem to lock up in a much more realistic way now. I think this is definitely a good update.

Has this mod still got the really odd field of view issues when using the nose cam? When cars go past, or you past others, they look like little toys!

the only downside is that the ai is super fast.
