Besides just entertaining gamers, car manufacturers seem to have found another use for Gran Turismo. After Nissan’s GT-R managed to attract a massive amount of interest due to the car’s appearance in GT5 Prologue, it seems like Ferrari is joining the bandwagon now.

The following video shows Ferrari’s brand new California convertible driving through the GT universe, including Le Mans, the Nürburgring Nordschleife and other locations well known to GT players. GT5 Prologue was the first ever Gran Turismo title to include Ferraris and it seems like the Maranello-based manufacturer wants to make the most of it.

The brand new Ferrari California is the company’s newest convertible, using a folding metal roof for the very first time. The car will be powered by a V8 front-engine and uses a 7-speed dual clutch transmission – Another first in a prancing horse.
