Gran Turismo 5 – Two CES 2010 Preview Videos

Polyphony Digital and Sony are making quite an impact on the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, showcasing a brand new demo of Gran Turismo 5 for the Playstation 3 as well as GT5 in 3D.

While the earlier expo demos of GT5 were restricted to the Tokyo street circuit and a bunch of cars, the CES demo comes with lots of content including Fuji Speedway and the Nürburgring Nordschleife as well as a bunch of new cars.

Sadly, the media outlets present have failed to capture the new content so far as no videos of the new tracks and cars are available yet. To keep you entertained until proper CES 2010 material surfaces, here are two videos showing the Toyota FT-88 and the Motul Nissan GTR at Tokyo.

It amazes me that these gamereviewers/experts can’t drive for shit!

Their driving matches their job performance.

Just as it was with Shift, it’s just a bunch of amatures going to these shows for a laugh with no background research and no incentive. It’s a sad excuse for journalism when it’s so obvious GT5 is major hot subject right now.

Theres some proper new footage from GameSpot on GTP now, excellent stuff! Well done GameSpot.

Gamespot? While those videos you refer to may be good, if you know about the whole
Eidos scandal you will know their reviews cannot be trusted…

Was wondering, if on-line can support 16 players, how come single player only as a measly 7 AI opponents.

My new dream: Targa Florio in GT5. I know it’s impossibile. :sad2:

  • moving-target

Is there any clip with 16 cars on the track? Or did I miss something and GT5 will have 7-9 AI drivers only?

  • Gulyo

The Toyota Concept car looks like undrivable … or the driver is an idiot !!!

I feel Gran Turismo 5 is the reason many pc fanatics will play a console game! These gameplay videos are the first ever to feature such high quality details. At some point I couldn’t tell if it was real life or GT5 simply amazing! 16 players online in private lobbies are more than enough to run most leagues!

  • FooAtari

Yeah it sure does look good Felipe. However I would rather they cut back on the eye candy to allow for more AI and larger grids online.

While I might pick this up for my PS3 it wont draw me away from the PC as my main sim platform mainly because it’s not very practical for me to use a steering wheel in my lounge. And my long sessions may cause some friction with the wife!
