Wow, that is an impressive car list. I don’t understand premium/standard cars. What is the difference, is it damage only?

I understand that Premium Cars will offer detailed Cockpit Views… over the Standard Cars!  What’s confusing is, will Standards Car Models still offer internal Cockpit View or not!  I think they will, but will be basic internal dash and low quality details.

While the 1000 cars figure is impressive, I really don’t understand the giant urge to have every year’s edition of a car in there, I mean how many people really care about the difference between the japanese, european and us honda S2000? for 3 different editions there are all 3 regions… It’s just overkill. I guess that’s what Gran Turismo is about.

That’s always been GT though. Its annoying when you think they could have perhaps got a few more interesting cars, that said its nice if you actually own that car in real life so I suppose it caters for that. Having cars from different years is nice too, providing they are actually different, what I object to is having a load of cars from the same year that are just the same.

Some nice cars on that list though, hopefully the track list will be out shortly.

How can a car like the Supra RZ or E30 and E46 M3 aren’t a premium cars? Where is the focus RS, or the Golf VI GTI?

What do you think of this…. in the list the Ferrari F40 is a standard model, but the F40 is in the GT5 Prologue and has a cockpit vew… interesting…

That is shameful. No tearing up La Sarthe in a yellow-with-a-red-door Cinquecento for you then. Speaking of shameful, the number of Mazdas is more than the combined total of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche (yes, I know there are none) Bugatti, Maserati, and Lancia cars in the game. That’s just not right.

I suspect they wanted people to drive what ever car they own in real life? That is my only guess.

Hahaha. They are missing my daily driver!! They should delay the game another 3 years and add it. Hahahaha!!! What!!??! They don’t even have my race car… a 95 Acura Integra GSR. I thought for sure that would be on this list. The Type-R is there.. close enough.

Boring. 
Japanese cars overload, but no actual GT1 od GT2 cars, and the Peugeot LMP1 is the only modern Prototype? Fail outside of Japan.
Sony didn’t invest much into mdern machinery, just the same high performance cars as in the last GTs. Ashaming.

Standard cars – No Cockpit view at all is confirmed and they are direct conversions of GT4 car models to GT5 engine.

Cinquecento is the worst car I ever drove.  All the way to Cornwall and back to Wales in that horrible little thing.  haha

After waiting for so long, I’m really disappointed with the list.
I can name lots of cars that aren’t in the game which are far more important than all those Japanese cars, most of which are no one cares about cars.
I mean, where is the 250 GTO, 275, 365 Daytona, New gallardo superleggera, zonda f, zonda f roadster, zonda cinque, fxx, 599xx, DBR9, C6-R, Mircielago GT1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I could go on and on. I’m really disappointed with the car list. It’s like a heartbreak really. All this waiting, then this :(

You have got to be kidding with this list. Let’s all enjoy driving 4 different types of a Yaris. Who drives these things in the game? What a major disappointment.

I think EA has an exclusive license with Porsche…but they are in GT5 via RUF thought at least

why don’t you create those cars yourself, or better yet theres forza 3 for you im sure that will satisfy your needs

Mclaren F1/MP4, Ferrari F40 (tuned to LM spec), Merc SLS, Lambo Murcielago, Peugeot 205 T16 Evo II and 908 will be my first drives.

It´s nice to see 500 versions of the same car, which will be the differences?, some have GPS and  A/C and others not?  >:o

The best cost benefit racing game? Damn can tell when these guys dont play pc sims… If you played a decent racing game you wouldnt be able to use the other cars to turn, wich has clearly been shown the case on GT series including 5, there is no racing in that. And as for cost thats debatable, the GTR series on pc hands down over gt better physics, Great realistic racing a modding community for more cars and tracks, night time and transition from day to night, fully detailed cockpits and wet weather can be had for $15-20. Oh did i mention cheaper then GT5? can be had for $15-20

So, should GT5 delay so all your cars can be included or should it be released so we can all enjoy racing?

Remember that white Ford Focus WRC from 11 years ago, yes it’s still there!  Good God is this the laziest game ever made?  All they do is update existing cars and drop a few new ones in there!

Is a shame, as the game looks beautiful as usual. But a little too lazy from Polyphony again. And the delays are insane, meaning I wont buy it

It’s a big list which is always good but I am a little dissapointed in it. I found another list a few days ago, although obviously unconfirmed, was a great list. A couple of cars which were on the list that I would have liked to see in GT5 were the Skoda Fabia vRS and Octavia vRS. Can never understand why these are missing from GT and Forza (unless it’s licencing issues) as they would be great to throw around the virtual tracks.

Wenn ich mir hiergegen Forza 3 anschauhe was ich nicht besitze gibts da für jeden Motorsport-Fan die Aktuellsten Modelle und nicht wie beim großen GT Autos die keinen Menschen mehr interressieren! Ich als Fan von deutschen Autos und aktuellen Rennfahrzeugen aus GT1 VLN und 24h Le Mans/Nürburgring werde absolut mit diesem Titel nicht angesprochen! Nordschleife hin oder her!
