Gran Turismo 5 – New Content Hidden In PSP Trailer?

Posted on July 23rd, 2009 in

Some days ago, Sony has released a short trailer of the Playstation Portable version of Gran Turismo. While handheld games aren’t really interesting for fans of realistic racing, the trailer may have some significance for Gran Turismo 5.

Watchful users in the GTPlanet forums have spotted some suspicious details in the trailer, what looks to be a CGI sequence of a Nissan GT-R and a Corvette ZR-1 racing on the Nordschleife may be in-game footage from Gran Turismo 5. Clues that confirm this are the garage screen that looks exactly the same as in Gran Turismo 5, the screen even reads “Playstation 3″ in the background.

Another new thing shown in the video is the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit that will make its debut in the GT series.

Lol, theres no chance the graphic will be that good at psp, but i think it will be a nice game both at Ps3 and Psp!

Not that good but I would say much better than GT4 on normal screen. You can find GT-mobile gameplay video on youtube.
The news that GT5 will probably feature the longer version of Nordschliefe- the one than combines the Nurburgriing GP course and the 20k Nordschleife (for a total of 24.4km). The previous GT4 only features the old course. But with an increase grid size in GT5, the bigger pitstop at the Nurburgring is required. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Gran Turismo sponsors the annual 24 hr of Nurburgring and the race is run on the longer configuration.
