A few days ago, Sony announced that a special demo version of Gran Turismo 5 will be released on December 17th, launching the second GT Academy competition in co-operation with Nissan.
The demo will allow all Playstation 3 owners in Europe and Australia & New Zealand to fight for their place in the GT Academy held at Silverstone in March were the quickest driver will leave with a fully-paid season in the FIA GT4 Championship. North American racers are not eligible to compete for the real drive, the quickest of them can win Indianapolis 500 VIP tickets though.
The demo will contain the Nissan 370Z road car both in stock conditions and in a tuned-up version as well as one track. This track has now been revealed to be the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as first previews of the demo can be checked out below.
Making its debut in the GT series, Indianapolis Motor Speedway will be included with just the road course layout. Since Gran Turismo 5 will feature the NASCAR Sprint Cup series, the oval configuration of the track is very likely to make an appearance in the full version.
