Polyphony Digital showed a brand-new video trailer of their upcoming Gran Turismo 5 driving game for the Playstation 3 at the Asia Game Show yesterday.
The 1:45 Minute trailer includes first footage of the brand-new Madrid and Rome city tracks. Furthermore, we get to see some moving footage of various Super GT cars, WRC, NASCAR and a bunch of LMPs running on what seems to be an airport runway.
Gran Turismo 5 will be bringing 1000 cars and over 60 tracks to the Playstation 3, including new features such as damage, weather and day/night effects. The title has been announced to be released in March 2010 in Japan, dates for the US & Europe have not been given.

All the haters can say whatever they want specially those who can’t afford to spend over 300 euros for this (not including wheel) BUT GT5 will be the best ever racing game in ALL expects (physics not sure)!!! The new benchmark I was amazed with the details in the Free Trial version which isn’t even the final version weight transfer like that I have seen only in real life and the game is been made to play with a wheel as the lap times showed astonishing 50 GB of pure sex lol!!!

Playstation marketing is ridiculous… I have the same opinion than Gulyo
I have just bought a Xbox and Forza 3 for Christmas.
Good bye Playstation

GT Acadamey is really enjoyable (especially with a DF GT wheel) and you can actually control the car like in our beloved sims. It may be simplified (while braking, for example), but it remains a good drive. GT5 will be one of the only game I’ll buy at full price for my new PS3: it seems I won’t regret it! ^^

“including new features such as damage, weather and day/night effects”
Excluding weather, because they werent able to do it with enought high quality to include it and damage is for race cars only to satisfy all car manufacturers.

GT Academy is injoyable … to you maybe … I played 3 weeks with my G25 and sold everthing after 3 weeks but – you can believe me – I tried to like them … I couldn’t … we will see in autumn 2010 …

To me and many other people: you don’t have to expect a true sim, but it’s definitely possible to drive the car properly and you need to pay attention if you want to be fast. If it was not your cup of tea… well, all of us has his own taste.
But the demo is far from being un-enjoyable or undrivable (with a DF GT it drives really well, even if there FF may be better in transmitting when the car is over/understeering).
Anyway, I didn’t expect any useful comment from you, seeing the average of what you post around here.

Yeah, the car is drivable but it’s RIDICULOUS to release a “demo” with one car and track … good waiting till next autumn … really big disappointment and joke in one …
PS: you dont have to expect anything from me because I dont addresse them to you … I dont care at all if you dont like them … absolutely not …

PD were very clear that this isn’t the real demo, this is just for the GT Academy. Regarding the topic the trailer is beyond any other car game, really looking forward to the full game.

But sure.. you have to know better than Yamauchi what it “feels” like to drive on the ring. I’m sure that if you can play the game now, you’ll know that the phisics of the SLS “are not realistic” and so on .. And please dont start with the fanboy sh!t – i dont own a PS or copy of GT. I just have the feeling that when this comes out Forza 3 will look like Screamer Rally. And i hope i’m right, because we need a good drivers’ game, supa hardcore or not. Time will tell … sooner or later ;-)

Any delay is dissapointing but seeing how Forza 3 turned out, good but not great, I’m prepared to wait until March for GT5’s Japanease release (I’ll import it).
That is if PD deliver on their promises.

you are joking right?? You play a time trial mode which doesn’t even come close to Prologue which in it’s own is an outdated trial and still say “I was fed up”! Have fun with your only console dude but you don’t need to lie to try to make your 360 looking nice

Ok I am fed up with this “Wah wah GT5 is taking too long to come out, wah wah, I am selling my PS3…blah blah”. Get a life. You mean to tell me you are selling a piece of technology you spent (or your mom) $600-300 on because you are too impatient to wait for a game. Grow the F*** up! You know what I did? Bought a 360 to go along with my PS3. You know why? Because both FM GT are GREAT GAMES! Man… kids these days…
As far as realism is concerned, if you think the latest “time trial demo” is not realistic enough for “PC sim” standards, you really need to lighten up. I have got news for you guys, there are some thingsd GT and FM do far better than some of you PC game and no game will ever be perfect. Its high time you realise the console sim genre has grown up and is a respectable medium for sim raicng.
