GP2 2008-2010 2.0 – Released

The SiMCO Modding Team has released a new version of their GP2 Series 2008 mod for rFactor, adding the 2009 and 2010 GP2 seasons to the mod.

Initially released in January 2009, the mod now includes three seasons of GP2 competition and comes with brand new physics that have been made with the help of Arden Motorsports.

Changelog:

- absolutely new physics by Arden Motorsport’s instructions
- edited sounds
- new skins, 2009, 2010 seasons

    One of my favourite rFactor mods.  I always get nervous with a ‘new physics’ announcement when the originals were good already.  So Im hoping the new physics are as good or better.

    Yes, finally. Their GP2 2008 mod was very good, both graphics as physics. You really had to work to keep the car under control. GP2 is a very nice racing series, so very nice that they did 2009 and 2010. :)

    yikes, could you ask nicely ?

    anyway if you need TC, I think you just edit the GP208_LE.hdv file and go to the line that says
    TractionControlLevel=(0.0, 0.0)  and add in some numbers (maybe get an example from another mod).

    Really like this mod ! Thanks. One thing though, i’m hearing tyre-scrubbing even when driving in a straight line. Is there something wrong with my audio-settings or is there something a bit off in the sfx-file ?

    Very good mod. I was hoping that you could at least add low traction and ABS, the AI also leave next to no room for you, I think that should also get a little fixed.

    Great Job on the mod, the physics are great IMO.

    Very nice – hardly work for the modding – team and hard for us, without any helps and the lowforce missing grip is really impressive !!!

    Tire scrubing have i also all time ????????????

    And possible to delete the Antenna in front my nose :)

    Very nice mod… except for the horrific steeringwheel textures.

    So i made some new textures for the GP2 steeringwheel.
    Created a new basic texture + bump & spec maps.
    Makes the biggest visible part of the terrific car look much better.
    Gives me more joy while driving this beast.

    Just download the zip from this link: http://www.riches.nl/GP208.zip
    Than unpack and place the 3 DDS files in your “rfactor/gamedata/vehicles/GP208″ folder

    Should give no online mismatches.

    Have even more Fun…
