Alongside working on their Formula Ford mod, Global Motorsport Technologies is also working on bringing the British Ginetta G50 Cup to rFactor.
Below is a first preview video of the mod, showing a full field of Ginetta racing cars at Silverstone.
Launched in 2008, the cup uses racing versions of the Ginetta G50, powered by a 3.5l Ford V6 engine that puts out 304hp. Aside from its own cup, the car is also eligible to compete in the FIA GT4 Championship and other national GT series.

Virtua_LM has released the Fuji Speedway for rFactor, adding a historical one of Japan's most important race tracks to the simulation. Based on the version released for F1 Challenge, the track has been extensively modified and revamped to make most of rFactor's graphic engine. Back in December, a new simulation software studio opened its doors as Reiza Studios officially picked up business. Now, the studio has revealed their first project, announcing the Formula Armaroli race car for rFactor. Made in co-operation with Armaroli Simulators, the Formula Armaroli car is a fictional open-wheel race car modelled after 80s Formula One machinery. Jessica, Darin & Shaun of InsideSimRacing.tv were recently joined by Image Space Incorporated's Gjon Camaj who visited the guys for an interview in an upcoming SRT episode. As promised, Codemasters have just released the first of their developer diary videos, introducing us to some of their staff and showing off first-ever moving footage of F1 2010 for the PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Was my first reaction too, until I realised it was actually the Ginetta G40 Junior I had in my mind -Can’t miss it on ITV4.
I don’t know much about the G50 but it looks to be the more powerful adult version, I’ll go have a look right now at some footage.
Anyway this looks like a brand new must-have mod on the horizon.

It’s great to see some modern cars from an interesting series where there is actual racing – rather than all that boring F1 stuff.
