Game Stock Car by Reiza Studios – Jacarepagua Preview Video

Reiza Studios continue to show off the tracks in their upcoming Game Stock Car title one by one, the newest preview video shows off a lap around Jacarepagua.

The video also includes some cockpit footage, showing off the richly detailled interiors of the Brazilian stock cars.

Located in Rio de Janaeiro, Jacarepagua opened in 1978 and hosted the Brazilian Formula One Grand Prix vom 1981 to 1989. Unfortunately, the days of the venue are very much numbered as the track will be demolished to make room for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Like the titles from Simbin & 2PEZ Games, Game Stock Car uses ISI’s trusted gMotor 2 engine. The title will include 34 V8-powered cars that can be driven on 12 Brazilian tracks. A release date for the title is not yet available.

Launched in 1979, Stock Car Brasil is Brazil’s major auto racing series. Currently backed by two manufacturers, Chevrolet and Peugeot, the series uses V8-powered race cars that reach top speeds of up to 270kph. The series has featured numerous popular Brazilian drivers including Christian Fittipaldi, Raul Boesel, Ricardo Zonta & Luciano Burti.

The track bumps look very good. Are they laser scanned? Great looking game. Even has a Mole on the dash…..

Ha, I wish we had access to laser scans! No such luck, just had to be clever instead ;)

That Chevrolet reminds me of Race07′s WTCC Extreme Lecetti.
