Game Stock Car by Reiza Studios – Extensive Gameplay Video

Erick Nagy has put together a very interesting and extensive gameplay video of Reiza Studios’ upcoming Stock Car Brazil simulation title.

The 8-minute video shows the title in use in a triple-screen simulator as Erick races at the Autodromo Internacional Ayrton Senna in Londrina. Also included is some replay footage, allowing us to check out the richly-detailed track modelling and damage model.

Like the titles from Simbin & 2PEZ Games, Game Stock Car uses ISI’s trusted gMotor 2 engine. The title will include 34 V8-powered cars that can be driven on 12 Brazilian tracks. A release date for the title is not yet available.

Launched in 1979, Stock Car Brasil is Brazil’s major auto racing series. Currently backed by two manufacturers, Chevrolet and Peugeot, the series uses V8-powered race cars that reach top speeds of up to 270kph. The series has featured numerous popular Brazilian drivers including Christian Fittipaldi, Raul Boesel, Ricardo Zonta & Luciano Burti.

    Probably one of the best driving rigs I’ve seen.  He may as well be there.    I’d like to know more about that and how many organs you’d need to donate to buy one. 🙂

    That the driver got kicked off the track was the fault of the driver himself.
    AI was just holding his line, following the predifined path.
    But the driver turned to the right too much, hitting his backside on the AI car.
    So collision detection is well very done.
    Wait till you guys get flipped off so easely in this way at a online match.
    See how real and irritating it is.

    The pass was clean. AI is clearly at fault. Maybe it happens online with noobs, but implementing that behavior in AI is not a good idea.
