Game Stock Car 2012 – Camaro SS Video

Erick Nagy has created a stunning preview video of Game Stock Car’s upcoming 2012 update pack.

The video shows one of the pack’s new introductions, the Chevrolet Camaro SS road car, in action on Erick’s motion simulator. The footage is filmed using a GoPro HD camera for a true on-board video feel, we also get to check out an external view of the car as well as Erick on his impressive simulator.

Despite being a free update for all owners of the original Game Stock Car title, the 2012 update is packed with new content, introducing the 2012 versions of the Peugeot 408 & Chevrolet Sonic race cars. Adding to that, the update also introduces the Chevrolet Camaro SS both as road-going and safety car version.

The update also adds the Autódromo Internacional de Tarumã, a brand new track alongside updates for the existing tracks. To wrap things up, Reiza is also adding the Mini Cooper S race car, the pack will be free and available later this month.

While it is an impressive video, there is some work still to be done in the driving skill department! :-)

I think its called having fun for the sake of making a video, not world beating laptimes. Plus anyone with a setup like that isn’t likely to be a shabby driver when they get serious. At least I would hope someone with a sim setup that cool doesn’t suck at driving it!

lol @google-dfcba164dd1efdeea4d2817ace0c8df7:disqus  Niels! My driving skills are no where near yours and Simioni’s!
Stuart, with some more training I am little more competitive, had only one day with the car, though.

Looks pretty cool, but the camera is pretty distracting.

As a note of caution…………when understeer happens…………stop turning the damn wheel!!!! Even if you had never driven the car before you should know this incredibly basic rule. :-)

I thought you were trying to drift the thing at first……………then I realised……………..this guy’s wallet is bigger than his talent. lol No offence.

Hey Eric, no worries, the ‘helmet cam’ is a nice idea! I couldn’t help make a little video myself though I hope you don’t mind! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV-8jZTpzAU :)

    No offence taken.
But, the time I spent with the car was really for understanding the wheel behavior. One thing I was checking all the time was the tank slapper, which was a bit to harsh, unpredictable and hard to recover from.
However, Simioni has already tweaked the physics and improved it. That behavior was really bothering me as I couldn’t stopping pushing for it… lol

So, the video was one single shot, no edition, no cuts, no show of skills, just had to do it twice because first time the Gopro was pointing to much to the ceiling… :-P

    Thanks for the class!
A video is worth thousand pictures, which each are worth thousand words… lol
But, you still need to help me set up the steering wheel, I don’t get any centering force with this car…
