Game Stock Car 2012 – New Mini Challenge Previews

Reiza Studios have released first in-game previews of the Mini Cooper Challenge car that is coming to their Game Stock Car 2012 title via DLC.

The Mini will round out Reiza’s extensive free content pack that was released last month. As usual, Reiza is going great lengths to make the car as accurate as possible, efforts that are clearly paying off as proven by their telemetry readouts.

The car will be available soon, an exact release date has not yet been announced. For more info the free 2012 update pack for Game Stock Car, please click here.

Looking forward to this Mini but I am quite disapointed that no one plays GSC online. It’s as dead as NetKar Pro for public racing. I had hoped that with the 2012 update more people would be active but you’re lucky to find a lobby with 5 drivers in it.
All that means I am back racing with RACE 07 for online action. Not a bad thing but just a shame hardly anyone plays GSC.
I am sure there are leagues and things to join but I just like to go for a race when I feel like it and not have to mess about with start times etc.

You mean in RACE 07, you can find a lot of public lobbies ?
Please answer because I want to buy a game that offers decent and frequent online activity :)

Cant judge really how any people play GSC based on open lobby activity.
Like you said there are enough Leagues. At Touring Pro Series they had arround 40 cars on one grid. :)

Thanks Reiza for cockpit view. :)

I hope this car will be as fun as the Clio from rFactor 2. :)

Agreed but anyway public races are often big mess up with crashes all over the place. AI in GSC or rF2 are as fun as some public servers. Leagues or iRacing are there for real online competition. In iRacing your are against people the same level of you and that’s really nice, not racing against noobs or aliens if you see what I mean.

I play GSC 2012 from time to time, great game. But I also just drive against AI since they are pretty ok

RACE 07 public servers are always full of people and usually of decent ability. You will always get the occasional idiot who takes you out but 90% of the races I have entered have been excellent……I have around 130 hours of online racing in RACE 07.
Whether it’s day or night you are almost garanteed to find a race.
Alot of severs will actually ban idiots and wreckers if admins are present so if you stick to the decent servers you will have good racing with fast and clean drivers.
    :-)

Sure you get bad crashes and wreckers occasionally but the majority of people are decent drivers who want to race clean.
Leagues are all well and good but usually I want to do several races back to back if I am having a session which does not happen in league racing.
I might go from the WTCC at Brands Hatch one race to the GT Sport at Nords the next and then to the F3000 at Zandvoort.
The AI in GSC is really good but it is still nothing like racing against real people. It gets boring very quickly.
Iracing is for people with deep wallets or people who enjoy being ripped off. Also below par physics and features make it a gold painted turd.

  • sargentjack86

You can if you are only looking for public races. ;-)

Still doesnt mean nobody isnt playing it.
There are no public races then.

  • Ricoo

iRacing is for people that want iRating, Safety Rating and competition against same level people. For that iRacing has no competitor, so those wanting that have to pay even if the price is high.

  • sargentjack86

    You got it.
