G25/G27 Adapter for Steel Series SRW-S1

Back in January, first videos surfaced of crafty sim racers putting Steel Series’ SRW-S1 wheel on the Logitech G25/27.

While those first solutions were a bit rough around the edges, Pablo Lopez & Juan Zapata have come up with a more practical solution.

You can see it in action in the video below, all features of the wheel including the display are retained. Their system comes in three parts that allow to attach the wheel and an optional other rim to the Logitech G25/27.

The complete set that contains all you need to attach the SRW-S1 sells for 90€ plus shipping costs. For more info, please check out the Simulaje website.

Hmm I might get the SRW-S1 because of this.

This is exactly what crossed my mind since SRW-S1 first released. Good job Simulaje

Does anyone knows if the all buttons and switches on the srw-s1 can be used in iRacing? that Combo would be great to close the gap till end of this year when I’ll get the Fanatec CSW-Package.

right now the Rotarys and LEDs dont work with iRacing

sounds ok… Rotaries would be great… LEDs “only” nice

Lol the music is the sort of thing you would have for the end credits of a blockbuster  where the hero just saved the world and won WW3 , but its for a guy connecting and disconnecting FFB wheels.

Does anyone know the weight difference between SRW wheel and G27?

I wonder if this increases the speed of G27 using the SRW wheel, just like the CSR F1 rim and T500RS F1 wheel do.

FYI, One of the rotaries works in all games.  That is the steering sensitivity dial.  It adjusts how sensitive the steering is and how far you have to turn the wheel physically to make it turn all the way in the game.  It is an adjustment in the firmware of the wheel so is independent of the game.
Also, any game that implements the standard LED lights can make the LEDs work (like F1 2011).  You just need to install the little driver on the Steelseries support page in the SRW-S1 section. http://steelseries.com/support/downloads
I work for SteelSeries and designed this wheel.

Thx for the answer, but the steering sensitivity has no use as steering would be handled by the G25 … wouldn’t it?

That is true if you use the G25′s steering information.  I was not sure exactly how your set up was working electrically.  But you could use the accelerometer in the SRW-S1 for steering and then the steering sensitivity would work.  Depends on which device is sending the steering wheel location info to the game.

I’m getting a SRW-1 because of this, but I hope Sumulaje sends the QR system to reviewers like ISR or VirtualR.
I need to know this system doesn’t fail after extensive use.
That 15 pin connection looks like it could break.

I think the G2 should be used. Anyway, the SRW-S1 looks very nice.. I hope I’ll get one on tuesday… keep fingers crossed ;)

I emailed the maker of this quick disconnect and I have not received a reply back. Anyone know how this can be ordered if he doesn’t get back with me?

hey Michael, we will start selling this soon, the pieces were in production, sorry for the late response, but we are working really hard to finish all this puzzle!
    thanks!

we already talked with some websites to review it, and we will talk with ISR

with the QR system, no way to use the sensors of the Steelseries wheel for steering in games.

I have been trying 10x to send a mail to SIMULAJE
but their order form is bullshit.
Its blocking all orders because it says to your spelling:
    Error: Captcha is incorrect.
    What a silly joke.

For 90€, you get the kit to the SRW, to the G27 wheel and to the G27 base too? All the 3 main parts?

How much is going to cost this when u want a QR system for two wheels? So for my G25 wheel and the SRW-S1?
