FSONE 2008 1.01 – Released

International Pro-Modding has released an update for their recently released FSONE 2008 Formula One mod for rFactor.

The update fixes some minor glitches that spoiled this otherwise fine and popular mod, a detailed list of all changes can be found below.

Changelog:

Some people have erros on moncar.dds—fixed
Piquet missing helmet when select rain tyres—fixed
Missing Honrs of mclaren on cockpit when move cam—fixed
Some people have problems with FS08_CUBE_DX9.DD—Fixed
Hondar cars have problems on mirrors—fixed
Small performance on all mod—fixed
Fisichella and Adrian Sutill Vehicle —fixed
Some Bugs on Physics —fixed

The mod includes all cars and drivers of the 2008 season, including full pit crews, new physics, AI talent files, a new show room, wet & slick tires and much more.

Important: This is just an update, make sure to have version 1.0 installed before using it.

    I know there are some suspension fixes, siggs.
    The car feels much better now. Barely noticing the high speed understeer any more and although I still gotta discipline myself to keep a steady right foot I find I have more confidence with the car now.
    Now if only they could replace that horrible downshift sound that you sometimes here (the one that goes on for about 3s). That plagues a lot of F1 mods. F1RL09 has it too. Not sure about CTDP06 cos I stopped playing that when 1.1 came out :(
    Thankfully I pointed it out to MMG in beta testing and thats why you won’t hear it in their 07 mod.
    Anyway I digress….

    Great mod and so far am enjoying driving it.

    @F1 racer, yeah, I think that downshift sound is a standard ISI sound, its the backfire flames crackle. Linked with the fact that the F1 cars shouldn’t have such huge licks of flame…but I shouldn’t bitch alraedy, thats for the next release! (or personal editing :wink: ).

    I’ve not got my wheel with me atm, so I can’t test this I’m afraid, but I’m sure it’ll add that bit to already one of my favortie F1 mods :sd:

    Yeah thats it, the backfire sound. Maybe I`ll grab the ones off MMG07 and pass them over to my FSOne08 installation.

    Cool, gd pick. The MMG ‘pops’ are far better :) Try the backfire animations too, again, MMG07′s ones are great.

    I took the MMG07 backfire sounds and the CTDP06 CUBEMAPS and now FSOne08 1.01 is almost… PERFECT! :happy:

    Well, maybe i use all the MMG07 sounds, if i have some time…

    Hi guys ,
    I’m running Windows 7 64bit.I’ve installed rfactor, DirectX9.0 as required and the latest patch v 1.255,so far no problems.
    Then I’ve tried to install the FSONE2008 1.0 and FSONE 1.01 mods.I get an error message:”FSONE is not a Win32bit application”.
    Are these mods not compatible with 64bit versions ?
    Does anyone has a solution how to run these mods ?
    Thanks a lot !

    P.S.
    I’ve tried the same thing on XP SP2 and it gives me the same error:”E:FSONE2008_V1_SP.exe is not a valid Win32 application.”
    Weird !

    Weird indeed, i’ve tryed windows 7 but 32bit version and the game had no problems.I am currently with XP SP2 and its smooth too :shock: Try right click on the ”rfactor.exe” and change it’c compatibility maybe it will run. :wink:

    Can’t download the mod. The 3rd part is corrupted, when I tried to download the whole thing as one file it turned out to be some anime MMORPG game (what the hell…?).
