Forza Motorsport 4 – ALMS Car Pack Announced

Turn 10 has announced the next DLC content pack for their Forza Motorsport 4 title that will bring ten all-new cars to the Xbox 360 racer.

Contrary to what the name might suggest, the American Le Mans Series pack doesn’t consist purely of race cars associated with the American sports car racing series, racing machinery makes up a large chunk of the pack though.

Aside from several road-going cars, the pack includes the 2011 Le Mans-winning Audi R18 TDI LMP1, the GT2 class Panoz Abbruzzi as well as the iconic rotary-powered Mazda 787B that won Le Mans in 1991 – The first and only Le Mans victory for a Japanese manufacturer to date.

Included Cars

  • 2011 Audi R18 TDI
  • 1991 Mazda 787B
  • 2011 Bentley Platinum Motorsports Continental
  • 2010 Dodge “Rampage” Jackson Challenger
  • 1986 Audi Sport Quattro S1
  • 2011 Panoz Abruzzi
  • 1992 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4
  • 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R
  • 2011 Holden HSV GTS
  • 2011 VW Polo GTI

Below is a video trailer, showing all cars of the pack in action. The Jalopnik Car Pack will be available on Xbox LIVE starting February 7, the pack will sell for 560 Microsoft Points (roughly 6 Euros).

I played all up about 4 hours of FM4. None of the DLC inspires me to get back in. Some real world tracks might get me.

What I want to know is, if they have so many ALMS cars and official sanctioning, why don’t they actually make an in game championship for it. I think I’d prefer Forza more if it just focussed on a particular series such as ALMS.

Are any of those cars in the ALMS? LOL

Unfortunately, I think Forza works best with slower cars and non race tires, but I agree having just 4 ALMS tracks is silly. Needs more VIR and Mid Ohio.

    Audi`s promotional products only… what about Mercedes-Benz & Peugeot?!)…

Oh wow an Audi R18! That was pretty much the only car this game was missing. Could still use that new Daytona Prototype 2012 then it will be absolutely perfect american race car selection wise

Nah, they lost the World Challenge car this iteration, those were fun.

IMO, Forza needs more race prepped cars. BTCC, WTCC, GT3, GT4, etc. Even club stuff like a prebuilt spec miata or an SRF, legends car, etc.
