Forza Motorsport 3 – VIP DLC Pack to Help Haiti

Turn 10 has released a new content download pack for Forza Motorsport 3 on Xbox LIVE, letting players buy five new cars and privileges that have been exclusively to owners of the limited edition until now.

The VIP Membership car pack includes five brand new cars and upgrades the user to VIP status, giving him special recognition on the game’s leader boards, in multiplayer lobbies, the storefront and the car auction house.

VIP Membership Pack Car List

* 2009 Aston Martin DBS
* 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1
* 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia
* 2007 Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera
* 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 RS (997)

The pack sells for 800 Microsoft Points, equaling around ten dollars. For every pack sold in the month of March, Turn 10 will be donating 10$ to the Save the Children foundation, helping children in need in Haiti.

    I guess next time I won’t buy a LCE anymore. Of course with 800 points the VIP DLC isn’t that cheap but I think it would have been better if they sold it for 1200 points and waited much longer before everyone can get the VIP status.

    Now every new VIP still can get all the gift cars…

    good for turn 10, if it is for a good cause we shouldnt care about vip or what cars are in the dlc

  • rustymike12

    If they are concerned about the good cause, why are customers paying for it? The donation is going to be capped at $100,000 (tax writeoff?). This is pure money grab for a game that was over hyped and over sold and delivered far less than what was promised. (missing public lobbies,removed MP lobby tuning, etc.). Now, they slap those of us that preorderd LCE to top it off.

    rant over

    I already thought in the meantime it would be available for the normal Forza. The LCE buyers still have their keychain, special painted cars and USB-stick.

    And well, since I bought 4200 points for €43, it means this addition cost €8.19
    I bought the game for €35. I also bought all other expansions. Both cars packs as Nürburgring.

    Since €8.19 = $11.19 atm, turn10 only keeps $1.19 themselves. I have to say kinda cheap and it’s for a good cause.

    God you people whining because you bought the LCE and wah wah wah, “Now the other people will have it”… Put your penises away and shut up.

    Who cares if it’s a tax writeoff or whatever? The fact is they ARE giving a huge chunk of the proceeds to charity, and helping people hit by such a horrific event is slightly more important than if a bunch of douches on a videogame get to revel in their feeling of superiority because they have a little crown next to their name.

    The pissing and moaning I’ve seen everywhere in regards to this… With express shipping etc… I paid $110 for the LCE. I got an awesome package, a cool keychain, a funky USB drive, and have had 4 months of exclusive access to content that now other folk can BUY for a great cause. Oh yes, that’s so awful… (Does HTML5 support sarcasm tags yet?)

    Poor bastards can’t win. All I’ve seen since release is people who bought the regular edition whining about the VIP status stuff. NOW people have the option to upgrade and give money to a good cause, a bunch of the VIP’s are whining because they’re not so exclusive anymore.

    Get over yourselves for christs sake. Take a look around the world and see the likes of Haiti, Chile etc… Then think about how utterly moronic your whinging is. All you whiners need to adjust your perspective as quite honestly, you’re all pathetic.

    Wow I’ve complaining bout this not available in some countries then suddenly I log in to XBL and saw many FM3 DLCs.. I was like .. what the hell ? VIP dlc ? *Rushes to buy MS points*

  • rustymike12

    I bought the LE and I’ve contributed MORE than the game cost to Haiti and will again to Chile without T10 or MS in the middle. I’ll gripe if I want to. We were sold down the river by the greedy money grabbers and that’s all there is to it.
