Turn 10 has announced a new partnership today as their upcoming Forza Motorsport 3 title for Xbox 360 will include the Australian V8 Supercar Series.
V8 Supercars are Australia’s most popular racing series, featuring powerful touring cars from Holden and Ford – Eight of them will be included in Forza 3, you can check them out in action below.
Forza Motorsport 3 will bring over 400 cars and 100 tracks to the Xbox 360, the third installment of the Forza series will be released in October.

thats so cool i love v8 supercars and dont care bout nascar one bit so suits me. Go turn 10 all i can say, In Australia couple hundred thousand will buy this people wont bother with gt5 and same thing go’s for NZ 80,000 or so will buy it and not bother with gt5 so maybe more.

I don’t understand why people wouldn’t bother with GT5?? Just doesn’t make sense, GT4 had a V8 Supercar long before Forza as a game series was made.
As for the V8’s in Fz3. They look mighty fine, bit concerning that the Fords look as if they are a foot of the ground.
Also, according to posts on the Forza forums you’ll be able to paint your own scheme’s on them. No mention of “ANY” other Aussie cars or Tracks though

r8response you just have that one eyed thing going on, what has gt4 got to do with forza 3 nothing except there both driving games, btw it was gt3 that had one ford falcoon v8 supercar, gt4 had a falcoon gt and an xr6 road cars, yes i call them falcoon’s like racoon’s.
Im not trying to hate on gt5 just stating the facts in the asia pacific region specifically Australia New Zealand less people will buy gt5, yes some who may have picked it up wont even bother with it anymore simply because forza 3 has v8 supercars. And they do look a bit high because the ford bf’s in real life are a bit high of the ground, i think your just nit picking a bit there. Oh yeah those are some real nice renders there before this gets to off topic for craps sake sony trolls trolling the internets everywhere.

GT4 most certainly did NOT have V8 Supercars. It had a couple of skins, that was it, not the entire series!
Huge difference between that and the entire series.
My interest in Forza just grew some more. I LOVE Aussie V8. (Does this mean Bathurst will be in the game? God I hope so!)

I’m not a fan of consoles and their red rings of death, melting motherboards and such. If this game came to the PC I’d buy it. At least there’s V8 Supercar mods for gMotor2 simulations already. Modders will add it to rFactor 2 in the future.

I dont even play on consoles but this makes me want to buy a 360 sort of so im just going with common sense of course this give forza a big upper hand over gt5 in asia pacific it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure it out. I dont see what the big deal anyway there just a couple of games dont take it so serious.

Sure, but I’m guessing the v8s in this are gonna drive more realistically than the v8 mod for rfactor. Not to mention the sick graphics. And who knows when rf2 is gonna come out….

i dont know about that ForzaBarca88 theres no way to says its more realistic than v8 factor till you actually play it, inless you know something i dont but another thing is 360 has no support for logitech wheels so youll prolly have to fork out for one of them porshe 911 turbo s wheels.

Your still making the assumption that less people will buy GT5 simply because Forza 3 will have the V8’s in it. You’ve stated this previously as FACT, and yet you cannot prove it at all.

Wow wasn’t expecting this. The cars look fantastic really looking forward to throwing these around the new tracks.
Just a shame that Forza only has 8 car races (I *could* be wrong) so not that much close pack touring car races. Will still be fun though! Can’t wait!

No, it is not an exclusive license and if I read it right this is just for a few of the teams in the series, not the whole serie (few cars, no tracks).

do you guys seriously think in game these cars will look like this? not in this world baby just wake up the 350 is basically a dumb pc like many devs already said! Watch any video and see how unrealistic those cars handle so wake up!
I dont like GT5p neither the only real sim racing game for consoles is Ferrari Challenge and now Supercar Challenge it has got the best weight distribution for any sim including PC and their DBR9 is just incredible to drive a sim car at it’s best!
Now lets stop this GT5 vs Forza 3 BS as both games wont deliver what sim racers want so far Forza 3 definately won’t specially after watching the videos and seeing what the 360 can do or let’s put can’t do! Also no wheels for Forza 3 as Logitech has stated they will continue to support only PC and the PS3 and over 99% of 360 owners don’t own a Fanatec wheal (stated by Fanatec themselves)!

Uhm….but he is right.
Its common sense to know that the Australian and NZ market will have more sales for Forza because of this then GT5. Mainly because this has been endorsed by the V8 Supercars and has been publicised as a sponser on the V8 Supercars telecast.
The xBox and Forza 3 have massive coverage over GT5. So for your proof, just watch a round of the V8 Supercars.
