If you like insane levels of grip, cars with air suspension and tracks like a bowling green than Forza 3 is great
It plays just like Forza 2 to me and is a big letdown in terms of physics as it hasn’t progressed.

</blockquote>

Comments like this make me wonder if there were 2 versions of the demo available.

Oh noes you called me gay and a n00b and for some reason took it personally, perhaps you're easily threatened or were beat up a lot at school.. I don't care...

It was an honest question as to how people know from a crappy video that It's physics are bad. Having not even tried the game themselves with all aids off and not driven anything in real life even remotely resembling the characteristics of a out of the ordinary car such as the one demo'd

Sim racer snobs like yourself are the real 'gay' issue here, think everything has to be hard and twitchy to be 'real'

People forget these high performance cars and fast high powered vehicles like Ferraris are designed to be super forgiving and immensely grippy compared to anything you have likely driven, that is right upto the very limit they are raced at, which I doubt was even remotely reached in the video.

Can I have the opinion of someone who has actual race driving experience and doesn't compare everything to Richard Burns Rally and iRacing.

And I've got the PC Sims like rFactor and iRacing, and a $500 Porsche Wheel so check me out, I don't go about snobby bashing everything else and people who like more fun in there games than bone jarring realism, I even go karting so check me out!, but id never presume to know shit about Le Mans racing cars just cus I've mastered drifting an F1 car in a 'sim' game. I honestly just want some real feedback from people who can actually drive the real thing and not just imagine they can when they squint real hard and wish.

I played the Forza 3 Demo with the craptacular MS Wheel and it felt pretty damn good apart from the fact that all the cars they supply in the demo quite deliberately are all very easy to handle and are designed to be forgiving, apart from the Mini, which is underpowered enough relatively to still be not too dangerous.

Don't be a snob and go round calling people gay and noob you big gay noob

<strong><a href="#comment-29179" rel="nofollow">eiwfihaaa</a></strong>:
you don’t have to be a proffesional race driver at all to know what its like. If you’ve had some track experience, which most simracers do have, and done some karting, that’s fine. How do you think people analyse formula one, and formula one driving styles, when they’ve never driven an F1 car themselves?such a n00b response ‘Oooooh, well you haven’t driven a lemans car, so how would you know’.
You can easily tell just by looking at onboard footage, and having an understanding of basic physics. You don’t have to be in the 1% of the population who can afford to do it to know what its like. Also out of that 1%, only 0.005% of them are actually good drivers. The rest do it because they can. That doesn’t make them good.
And what do you mean by proffesional? Because that implies they are paid to drive. Half the F1 grid are pay drivers, who bring with them sponsorship. They are just the best of the pay driver bunch.i hate people like you with gay stupid comments like that.
And game publishers employ ‘proffesional drivers’. Who simply will say marketing speak to promote the game, obviously. So that would be totally pointless.
It is quite obvious from playing games like iracing, or RBR, that they are far more realistic than anything offered on the console. And that anything on the console is nothing like a real driving experience, even tho they claim to be.

I’m betting your only experience driving those cars would be in another sim anyway? right? (presumption on my part)Oh and also we don’t know if and how many ‘aids’ were on so.Be nice if some actual professional drivers who drive the real deal could comment on games like this and Shift and not just relate them to other sims.

Lovely, imprecise steering there.

Beautiful floaty handling, the best yet. They've done a superb job. This is going to be the most advanced simulator yet on the console.

games like rfactor, rbr, and iracing, are nothing compared to this, with their accurate race like steering, feel, and grip levels.

hell, i'm going to sell my g25 and pc, buy my old 360 back, along with its xbox wheel, which is superbly built, and get this game. After all, forza 2 was amazing. Who wouldn't want more of the same? Build up credits by winning races, buy maybe 10 or 12 cars out of hundreds, and win the game. Brilliant fun.

Sadly so many games lag this way, It can lag for a few reasons (pre-rendered frames, screen refresh rate/display lag, cockpit taking low priority over game, animation and software interpretation/smoothing, lag etc) and it doesn't mean that the actual game steering itself lags just It's representation on the wheel.

I wish devs took it seriously enough to fix, sadly wheel users make up less than a percent of gamers :-P... don't get me started on the wheel not even matching up with the real rotation on 900 degree wheels... lazy animators

You guys are asking too much...clearly we can see here and in GT the cons of making a big list of cars and tracks... plenty = less quality.

looks good
Bad physicsVideo 2 :
Looks very good
Pretty decent physics for a console sim. However Oversteering seem to no exist in this game. This is the kind of graphics i wish for rFactor 2.

<strong><a href="#comment-29110" rel="nofollow">Jonas</a></strong>: damn, still the hands dont move when apply changes and when the others cars hit you, you get the penalty time …. what a shame
</blockquote>

Time penalties meant nothing. I don't see why it would be changed if it was still there. I wish it wasnt.

And BTW, both cars are paddle shifted, so kinda irrelevant for these videos. But yes, you are right.

From the looks of it the Viper still has yet to see the proper nose in any game to date. Looks very much like a old Comp Coupe nose, which is actually different from what almost every new Viper runs anymore.

Video 1 :
looks good
Bad physics

Video 2 :
Looks very good
Pretty decent physics for a console sim. However Oversteering seem to no exist in this game.

This is the kind of graphics i wish for rFactor 2.
