Forza Motorsport 3 – Sedona Raceway Preview Video

Turn 10 has released a new preview video of Forza Motorsport 3 for Xbox 360, showing us a race at Sedona Raceway in a Super GT Toyota Supra facing competition from other Japanese race cars such as a Subaru Impreza.

Forza Motorsport 3 will bring over 400 cars and 100 tracks to the Xbox 360, the third installment of the Forza series will be released in October.

    Fake looking graphics shouldn’t be your number 1 priority when your making a race sim.

    Again, the track surface in FM3 is far too smooth, which negatively effects the immersion of the cockpit view which gives the impression the car is floating above the track, resulting in a dull driving experience.

    Also the sense of speed from the cockpit view is poor and it really needs a virtual rear view mirror to make the view suitable for racing.

    NFS shift has much bumpier tracks and the cockpit view and the sensation of driving is in another league compared to FM3 and GT5 which are primarily car colleting games rather than a satisfying driving/racing game.

    I agree, the cockpit view in both Forza 3 and GT5/prologue looks too tame and sterile and GT5 Prologue feels as sterile as it looks. It will be interesting to see how Forza 3 will feel, I thought Forza 2 was quite fun but I have only played it with a regular gamepad.

    Btw, according to gamereactor.se there will be a Forza 3 demo released on the 24th of September.

    the field of view in Forza 3 doesn’t seem comfortable enough, it was too close to the dashboard. they force you to build triple screen + 3 x360 if you want to see side mirror, kind a lame. and of course you can’t adjust it

    Who told you the FOV was no adjustable, or are you just guessing?

    I agree.
    But me making a mention of them doesn’t make it my number one priority.
    Not sure why you thought it did.
    I don’t make race sims either.
