Forza Motorsport 3 – Nürburgring Grand Prix DLC Available

As announced earlier this week, Turn 10 has released the first additonal track for their Forza Motorsport 3 title, adding the Nürburgring Grand Prix track to the Xbox 360 racer.

The track is now available on Xbox LIVE, selling for 400 Microsoft Points. The German Grand Prix track is included both in the full 5.1 kilometer layout and as shorter sprint version that is used by the DTM and other series. Below is a video, showing a full lap around the brand new circuit.

The Grand Prix track is 5.1 kilometers in length and was opened in 1984 when the legendary Nordschleife became too dangerous to race on for several series. Today, the track hosts Germany’s Formula One Grand Prix, the Nürburgring 1000km race, an annual DTM round and other high-profile events.

    Certainly seems weird to put in a track you can only race 2 laps of and with only 8 cars….

    Guess there’s some technical limit in the 360 that means it has to be this way since I can think of no logical racing reason to do that.

    Felipe, you REALLY need to stop being such a troll. If it’s not iRacing threads your posting bollocks in, it’s anything Forza or GT5 related.

    Where did you get the idea you could only race 2 laps? And considering you can race as many laps as you like of the 11 mile Nordschleife exactly what “technical” limitation would there be on the 360 that would stop you doing as many laps as you like on a 3 mile track? (especailly when no such limit exists on other tracks) Do you even stop to think before you post?

    Whoa, that’s some suspiciously green grass there. :eek: I’m more than happy with how the ISI version of the Nürburgring looks after seeing this, especially when it comes to textures.

    Actually the grass is normal if you see it on a properly calibrated screen. What wrong imho are too dark shadows, too dark braking spots on the asphalt and too much overall contrast for realistic appearance.
