After showing us plenty of Le Mans and Japanese race cars, Turn 10 has released a new batch of Forza Motorsport 3 previews, shifting the focus to luxury vehicles.
The previews show high-performance sedans like the BMW M5 or the Pontiac G8XP. Furthermore, the shots show a wide range of SUVs, including Audi’s Q7, the BMW X5 and a Landrover. The popular Sports Utility Vehicles will be making a debut in the Forza series, adding a new category to race cars and normal street cars.
Forza Motorsport 3 will bring over 400 cars and 100 tracks to the Xbox 360, the third installment of the Forza series will be released in October.

yeah? whats the matter ? we’ve always missed SUVs in a racing game .. why don’t you want us to have em again ?
btw I’ve only seen those SUVs in umm… Enthusia Professional Racing .. it was the first game I’ve ever played with really great sounds and physics. I miss it so much

I bet those are in-game screens, or at least renders from the game engine.
I can’t wait, these couple cars/suv’s have me more excited for it than any of the others lol

It’s photo-mode which means they can make their game engine apply massive amounts of AA and other post effects for 1 frame. Because it’s in-game it’s completely legal, and no it’s not very ethical of them.
Regarding the SUV’s I’m in the same bag as the people living in RL, doesn’t matter what it is as long as it’s got wheels. imho, I think it takes far more skill to set a flying lap in an SUV than it takes in a formula racer.
One more thing, I’m willing to bet the range rover is just as flip-happy as the real thing in Forza 3, exactly why they included it in the first place.

carbonfibre, you can also set flying laps by taxiing a helicopter around the track. Now that would be challenging.
My proposals for Forza 4 are unicycles, snow mobiles, campers and grain barges.
