Turn 10 has released a bunch of new preview images of Forza Motorsport 3 for Xbox 360. The shots show various sports cars from BMW, Ferrari, Audi, Aston Martin and others on a very scenic fictional track.
Forza Motorsport 3 will bring over 400 cars and 100 tracks to the Xbox 360, the third installment of the Forza series will be released in October.

Love the forza series, This ones looking incredible.
Worried about the phrase “more accessable”.
Spells out more arcadey for the smacktards to me.
Also, wish MS would allow G25 support on the xbox for this.

Hopefully they’ve fixed horrible tire/grip-physics which plagued F2, and almost totally ruined it.

Worst thing about Fz2 was putting a wheel off track and instantly coming to an almost stop. What a stupid system, obviously its there to stop people cheating in online races, but couldn’t they find a better solution?

Electrified controllers sounds good r8response. They cheat, their controller kills them.

Check SimHQ’s hands on, I don’t think you have to worry to much, it seems pretty realisitc. I think it just refers to driving aids, which sims have always had, such as ideal line, brake assisnt, auto gears. Things like this were in games like Crammond’s Grand Prix series.
Also it supports Fanatec Porche 911 wheel, which from what I have read is better than the G25 wheel.

Better but also more expensive.

Reading some hands on videos it doesn’t sound like they have dumbed it down. One thing i heard them mention was one finger driving, so like steering assist and braking assist
in rfactor? He kept explaining how he had seen a 4 year old and a 60 year old who had never played racing games before having fun with that.

The fact that I couldnt use my G25 on the 360 when I had it was pretty annoying. But then I couldnt be arsed dragging it through the living room every time I wanted to play anyway.
I found out the other day the Fanatec wheel works with G25 pedals so considering buying the wheel on it’s own…

Forza 3 has got a tyre model/physics very similar to the only other one like it in Live For Speed.

What ever happened to PGR? Project Gotham Racing! I learned the word, “kudos”, from that game. Is Forza the son of PGR?

since when do consoles games have so much anti-aliasing? :P
still looks great though! but I’ll pass since I neither have an xbox or a fanatec wheel.

Well it truly looks like this will be the landmark era when big developers start adopting proper ‘natural’ physics in their games and less of the old synthetic programming.
I just got this feeling that we’re finally seeing the new talent responsible for (what used to be considered experimental/risky) physics, head to the mainstream.

That whole 8 car limit on the grid is really starting to bug me. I’ve been playing a lot of Forza 2 lately and it’s getting pretty lonely at the top.
As for the physics: I liked them in Forza 1 and I loved them in Forza 2. I hope Turn 10 doesn’t alienate their existing fan base by totally changing the feel of their physics in a sad effort to get GT fans.
