Really seems all console developers want to do lately is see who can have the most cars/tracks in the game over their competition instead of actually making quality racing simulations. Considering you can only run a handful of cars on the track at the same time I don’t see much fun racing wise.

Well, they have realized they simply cannot make their console games as realistic as PC Driving Sims so they try to give us something that our extremely talented but relatively less-funded PC Sim developers cannot give and that is tons of licensed street cars, and they take advantage of the fact that we are absolutely obsessive about cars and especially those ones that we don’t have in our PC Sims and their Excellent mods. I bought a Second-Hand Xbox 360 so that Microsoft does not get the money, just for Forza 3, just because it has lots of Street Cars with shiny  Graphics, so their marketing strategy is obviously working because there are lots of crazy car fans like me, who love shiny cars.

By the way the console developers can never make something like GTR 2 or rFactor, and my modded GTR 2 has over 7000 cars and over 500 tracks thanks to all you great modders, something no comsole game can achieve and I am proud to have something like this on my PC. Keep up the the good work and I hope NFS Shift turns out great and is supported by the Modders.

It takes 3.5 minutes to start the game First time after restart of my computer. Many cars have multple versions but the consoles also count those. For example Gran Turismo 4 having 35 versions or so Skyline and 40 versions of some Honda car etc. All I did is to put all the mods and tracks for GTR 2 that I found at a high standard into one installation and it keeps growing everyday. I do not download extra skins for any mods, only the ones that come with the mods themselves. If I start downloading extra skins my car count will grow to more than 10,000. I am sure there are people who even have 15,000 cars in their GTR 2 or rFactor.

Well, I agree it looks like an arcade game, but I think I’ll still enjoy it. The thing I liked so far was that every car will have interior / cockpit view. Unlike GT5 which will be selected cars will have cockpit view.

I think they’ve done a fairly decent job at attracting many gamers. The casual looks like crap not even apply brakes, but when my Niece comes over, this will help her… just press gas and steer.

Game looks amazing! I even fired up Forza 2 last night to compare to Race Pro, man it’s light years in front of Race Pro (in graphics department) and has been out since 2007.

Anyway, I’m supposed to get this game for the 360 free from Fanatac if I ever get my 911 wheel and club sport pedals. My order was placed on Jan 1st. 2009
