Formula Truck – Nürburgring Nordschleife Released

Racedepartment has released their Nürburgring Nordschleife conversion for Reiza Studios’ Formula Truck title.

Racedepartment has released their Nürburgring Nordschleife conversion for Reiza Studios’ Formula Truck title.

Bringing the world’s most iconic track to the new title gives sim racers the chance to experience something that has never happened in real life. Even though the Nordschleife has hosted a wide variety of racing, trucks have never raced in the Green Hell.

This changes now as five different layouts of the Nordschleife are available with this release:

  • Nürburgring 24 Hour Layout
  • Nordschleife Tourist
  • Nordschleife Tourist Short
  • VLN
  • VLN 2005

Originally created for rFactor by Com8, 6e660 and friends, the track has been converted to match Reiza’s newest, unique truck simulation.

Below is a very immersive video of a lap around the track, courtesy of Pablo Lopez as well as a second video with some more gameplay footage.

Does anyone have a torrent version of this?
Ive tried around 10 or so times to download the file but it always stops at random points and makes the rar file corrupt?
It would be much appreciated 🙂

    • Jaimy Mewe

There is a torrent version on their site somewhere. I got 3 torrent links in my purchase verification mail. If you can`t find it let me know and i`ll post them.

      • Sam Smith

Thanks for the help Jaimy but I was after the nurburgring torrent not the actual game itself.
Found out it works from my work pc so all good 🙂

I’m actuall more amazed by the fact this guy is using shoes for driving. I seem to have no “feel” when wearing shoes. Socks for me!

I also used to drive with socks only but then when I was getting used to real car, it was hard to be precise with pedals for several hours because well, you kinda have to wear shoes in real car.

So if you are still only simracing, I recommend driving with shoes so you won’t have to accustom to something new.
If you already drive in both world and have no problems with switching, good for you (you can be 50 years old after all, I don’t know you hehe).

I just do my simracing with socks. Real world racing i don’t do, apart from the occasional go-kart event. Of course, when i drive my road car, i use shoes yes. 🙂

Im way under 50 years as well.

It makes sense to me to use soft material like socks for racing. After all we see the F1 racers driving with soft shoes as well. Those are not socks, but really soft.

I don’t do any real racing either (just 23yr old, little money..), just driving road car few times a week.

Since I got my car I couldn’t sim-race with socks anymore, I’m especially wondering how I could heel and toe before, it’s really easier with shoes :]

I am just over 50 but I use cheap thin soled slippers I buy at Payless show source. The only shoes I buy there. They are perfect for simracing. Thin sole, yet stiff enough to avoid injury with load cell pedal.
At $20 they are cheap so I buy 2 or 3 pairs at the time.

I now use them to drive my real car as well if I need to go more than 30 minutes away. They are much more comfortable.

I found that using load cells forced me to use race boots. Started slaughtering my feet after an hour of heel & toe.
