Reiza Studios have officially announced their Formula Truck title as a new video trailer has been released.

Reiza Studios have officially announced their Formula Truck title as a new video trailer has been released.

The Brazilian Formula Truck Series features 1000hp racing trucks from manufacturers such as VW, Mercedes-Benz, Iveco, Scania, Ford & Volvo. The series races exclusively in South America with most rounds in Brazil and one in Argentina.

Regular VirtualR readers will remember that this isn’t the first time we get to see those trucks as the first video of them dates back to 2010. Now it seems like Reiza has locked in a release date as the title is supposed to be available “soon” – More info on it is not yet available.

A bunch of high-resolution preview shots of the trucks can be seen here.

    WTF? How cool is that?

    • Krzysztof Urban

Way too cool not to buy it.

    Can’t wait for this!

  • PetrolheadDen

So. Is this the mod we know so well released and now charged for it? Or just improved and released?

    • Niels Heusinkveld

I’m not sure what you mean but it is 100% scratch made. Perhaps you confuse it with a mod of some kind?

      • PetrolheadDen

I did wonder, and yes this will be nice to see come out now. Best of luck and Thank you for this. Cheers!

That is really cool. I can’t wait do drive it. When we can expect it to be realeased Niels ? I have driving such a truck racing game in the past but i can’t remember what it was but it was really funny. Me is wondering how you guy’s get such a great quality out of that engine, or is it a scratch made engine as well. Respect. However it looks cool and i like it already. Sorry for my bad english.

      • Niels Heusinkveld

I can’t tell exactly when it will be released. It is still based on the ISI Gmotor (rfactor) engine, just everything bigger and heavier. It works well 🙂

      • speed1

Really cool Niels. It seems to me you know well what are you doing and i like your enthusiasm and love for this stuff. Thank you for your effort. My respect you have. I look forward to test it. Keep it up man.

Been looking forward to this for almost a year now since I first heard about it, these big trucks are so much fun to race and take a different mindset. The turbo spoolup sounds great! The diesel engine also sounds amazing, downshifts, blips etc. Can’t wait to do some online racing with them 🙂

  • speed1

Wow cool. I’m sure this makes great fun. Something different from all those car sim’s. Looking forward to drive it.

Given the quality and customer relations with their Game Stock Car sim, they can count me in for sure.

in Brazil, since 1980… from wikipedia
      “January 1981
Volkswagenwerk AG acquires 100% of the Chrysler Motors of Brazil Ltda[4]
      February 1981
Volkswagen Caminhões Ltda releases first trucks — 11.130, 13.130, and an ethanol powered truck[4]
      March 1981
Changing of name from Chrysler Motors of Brazil Ltda to Volkswagen Caminhões Ltda (Caminhões is Portuguese for trucks)[4]”

as for the game, pretty exciting, this trucks are probably quite interesting to drive, heavy but with a lot of power, also they use no slicks I think, they use actual road tires,

      • PetrolheadDen

I didn’t know any of this either. Thank you for the info, very interesting!

  • hubbabubba

    take my money already 😛

Looking forward to this… hasn’t been a good racing truck experience available since Mercedes-Benz Truck Racing.
