Global Motorsport Technologies, creators of such popular tracks as Vanport and Putnam Park, are working on a Formula Ford mod for rFactor.
Below are two preview videos, showing the entry-level formula racers in action at Vanport.
Established in the 60s, Formula Ford cars are used in the several national series around the world, aiming to provide young drivers with a cheap base to start racing. Formula Ford cars are powered by 1.6 liter engines and use steel space-frame chassis without any aerodynamic parts to create downforce.

I wasn’t expecting Global Motorsport.. to actually be working on something new. I like the preview, by the way

wow… that cockpit looks brilliant! I like the textures on the gloves too. When mod teams pay attention to the cockpit textures it really adds massively to the immersion. bravo.. for your efforts so far.. can’t wait to drive these.

I can’t wait. The only reason I play Race Driver 3 is for the Formula Fords and now they’ll be on rFactor

This is our version, yes, it’s true, this is “illegal” convert with our physics and tested by real pilots.

These previews are mightily impressive, really looking to the release. The sounds are also spot on – the external sounds in the second video are exactly like the real thing!

exactly what i’m thinking! I loved the idea of TOCA RD3 (but not the implementation) and would like to basically rebuild it using rfactor cars/tracks.
