Interesting…although new platforms present new interesting features, RF is definitely not dead, and i suppose never will, such was the level of development it achieved, making it still a very valuable platform.

Right there with you, but you know just cause you know the truth about the sim, there will be cries of fanboy, but I have been yelling this for a long time. Namely the great ones dont die and they dont just fade away! If that were the case New mods just keep coming our way, thanks to the modders that work their magic and the crazies like you and me that snatch em up as fast as they can craft them. Thanks guys!

rFactor may look bad now, but it will still be played for some more years. It’s as mythical as GPL still is. Hard to explain the soul inside those sims.

There’s some type of cars/mods i only play now on the actual plataforms (AC, Rf2, Raceroom, GSC, Pcars…whatever) but there’s still some mods in Rfactor that makes worth having rf1 installed like Rallyworld, Historic GT&TC, Enduracers, V8 Unleashed, VHR, VLM GTPC, DRM…

Well done! I love the FE series!
    Go Heidfeld!
    : )

The cars are interesting feeling… but…. it’s still a gas engine only with no sound. and idling at over 4,000 RPM! Which means you can stall… WTF… You cannot stall an electric car… makes no sense and totally kills the experience.

    • Reapercore

Yes can stall an electric motor, however unlike a conventional petrol engine the motor will still produce torque even though it has zero rotational speed and this can damage the motor itself.

      • Chris Tataryn

when an electric car stops, so too, does the motor. They don’t sit there spinning at 4,000 RPM waiting for a clutch to engage. And they certainly don’t require a starter motor or anything like that at all.

The best of rF1 rivals any and surpasses many of the so-called sims. In fact, if you know how to drive and setup vehicles there is nothing better.
